A wave 2 figure in the Generations line (with WFC Megatron), Darkmount is meant to homage the Gen1 comic character, Straxus (who never had a toy).

In these pics, we see more red and gold in the figure (earlier pictures seemed to be rather dominant with the blue. I'm now liking the look of this toy in these colours.

(Wave 3 has Red Alert and WFC Soundwave, while Dirge is expected for Wave 4)

If Red Alert and WFC Soundwave are in Wave 3, who else is in Wave 2? So far we got WFC Megatron and Darkmount (who I think looks really cool as well), think it will include any of the others we have seen?

Wave 2
2x Megatron (War for Cybertron)
2x Darkmount (Straxus)
2x Bumblebee (War for Cybertron)
2x Optimus Prime (War for Cybertron)


Wave 3
1x Megatron (War for Cybertron)
1x Darkmount (Straxus)
2x Soundwave (War for Cybertron)
2x Red Alert
1x Bumblebee (War for Cybertron)
1x Autobot Drift

It's odd how Hasbro couldn't secure the rights to the name "Straxus"... I wonder who's taken it? Oh well, Darkmount's a pretty neat compromise. :) I'm loving the look and colours on that toy.

Now we wait for customisers to start posting up photos of "head in a bubble" Darkmount. :D

tell me about it it has been a heavy month.

Mines been heavy with bills :p Only got WFC Prime, BB and Drift because I got some extra cash for my bday.

If these new waves come out any time soon, I will probably have to layby them.

Straxus looks awesome. If only we had a detailed deluxe Blaster to go with him, to recreate the epic marvel covers!

I'll just use G1 Blaster. I prefer to use original G1 toys whenever possible anyway. ;)

I can't wait for this bloke, his alt mode looks awesome, his robot mode looks sweet especially with that head that reminds me of id Software's Quake 2 Tank Commander Head and his weapon really sets him off.

Tree stumps will falter in the path of Straxus. :p

Certainly the pick of the litter, and since he doesn't have a "popular" name, he might shelfwarm, meaning more Straxus glory for us!

The figure looks good, but I'm a bit concerned about the ankle area (just looks a little flimsy) and how well the figure would stand.

Yea it does look a bit worrying. But it could be super tght. Just have to see their QC :rolleyes:

Always wanted a straxus figure and it doesn't look like it will disappoint much. Ankles look awkward but I am hoping that in the hand it might look a little better.

Would love to have an impactor figure now please, then maybe a good nightbeat toy.

Im not feeling those ankles... other than that the toy is awesome... erm so he's just a deluxe as well ei? hmm wouldve been nice if he were Voyager sized. Ah well as long as he's not shortpacked:) The official pics doesnt seem too photoshopped which is good, I think.

The case breakdown has me worried with no Thrust in the next 2 waves. Better pick him up now just in case Hasbro doesn't release him again.

On topic, once I realised Darkmount = Straxus, I fell in love.
