as long as shipping costs less than the figure count me in.

Thanatos
26th March 2008, 01:56 PM
I'm in as long as shipping is reasonable, don't really wanna pay more than $45 for the figure overall (including shipping).

STL
26th March 2008, 02:05 PM
I ran through the website. THeres also an additional 25 pound processing fee before shipping. That might make it a deal breaker for a few others here.

sifun
26th March 2008, 03:24 PM
thats 25 pounds for the entire order plus shipping. Hmm someone email them for a total?

i_amtrunks
26th March 2008, 03:42 PM
25 pounds is about AU$55, quite the processing fee if you were only after one or two figures, but divided among 10 or more it's really not much.

Im in up to about $45 or so each, otherwise I'm out.

Gutsman Heavy

goro
26th March 2008, 03:47 PM
is that just for austrlia (the processing fee)? ive got a few mates in the UK.. so if anyone relaly wants them it may be cheaper to get them shipped to his place and then shipped over to aust

I've walked through the wizard and it SEEMS to be 35 Euro shipping regardless of quantities from 1 to 5, but it's VERY unspecific all the way up to the point where they have to approve your card. They use UPS International which is a notoriously expensive shipping method.

Ignore me. I replied to the 1st page without reading the 2nd.

I'm down for one if its not more than $50 shipped.

Tiby
26th March 2008, 07:05 PM
I ordered mine today from work (before I saw this thread) and it came to about $57AUD depending on exchange rate. International shipping is a bit more.
Shipping was 25EUR for one

dirge
26th March 2008, 07:21 PM
Yeah I'm in up to $50.

The_Damned

yea if you can get a total cost for one for me i wouldnt mind getting one aswall

STL
27th March 2008, 12:43 AM
I received a reply. It's not good. 80 pounds for shipping for 5 works out to be 16 pounds each. 25 pounds shipping fee works out to be be 4.5 pounds each. Plus base cost of 8.8 pounds that's close to 30 pounds. That works about to be about $70 each.

Note he lists the processing fee would be 35 pounds for 5 so I assume its more for processing = higher price.

Tiby, I don't think they've charged you shipping yet. I was going to go thru myself but they were only going to charge 25 pounds for a processing fee not including the shipping for just 1.

You guys keep saying Pound, but it looks like the Euro symbol to me which would mean you have your exchange rate quite wrong.

iceburn
27th March 2008, 08:57 AM
You're right jaydisc....

However, Pound and Euro has nearly the same exchange rate
it's just .XX difference

goro
27th March 2008, 09:03 AM
as i said.. u could get it shipped over to my mate in UK to save you the docu fees!

iceburn
27th March 2008, 09:30 AM
so who's doing the order now.
goro? are you able to do it since you have a mate in UK?

i'm still in if its below A$50

STL
27th March 2008, 09:50 AM
Gah!

30 Euros work out to be around $52 AUD. But I'm not sure if the processing fee is correct, he quoted me at 35 Euros processing fee...

TDD has one of these figures... brought it to the Melbourne meet. I wasn't too impressed. Once he comes off suspension you guys should ask him for a review.

If it's not too late i'd be interested as well for around the $50 mark, up to $60 even.

griffin
27th March 2008, 10:32 AM
I'd be interested as well (price doesn't matter too much if this figure never sees general release), unless there is a limit they will let you order.
This is one odd Transformers toy. It is a unique mould, but hasn't been listed anywhere as a general release toy, making it the first limited edition figure that isn't just a recolour or slight retooling. If the Aveo TF isn't that good, it reminds me of the mail-order Omnibots (Camshaft, Overdrive, Downshift) - toys that weren't good enough to sell as general release figures, but a small number were still produced and 'sold' as mail-away figures.

27th March 2008, 04:23 PM

Fungal Infection

I'd be willing to do a group buy for Sydney-siders but I need 4 more people to commit to $80 as a precaution to cover larger-than-expected postage and administrative fees. I'm only prepared to order 5 units since I'm not sure how shipping and admin. fees will be affected by ordering more. I doubt the price will be above this and of course, if its under, you will only be paying the actual price. Any takers?

I will post as soon as my credit card is charged and I know the total amount.

What about Tiby? By the sounds of things he's already ordered, and if so, won't that cover some of the NSW people?

iceburn

I'd be in for a group buy depending of course on price. What do you think Griffin? Splitsies? Maybe we can get Soundwarp in as well.

Since I'm in the UK at the moment I don't mind sending a bunch over, I could send about 7 I think for about £25/$60 shipping. I can't get the link to load though.

I'm still interested, even if I have to buy an extra one or two to make up the Brissie group buy. Just give me some notice on how much and to where, because with the Aus Toyfair and BotCon this month (plus electronic purchases for both trips), I'm on a tight budget for the next few weeks.

RUMOUR - SPECULATION

I'm purely speculating here but I just received an e-mail from a seller I brought off once from eBay. He sells a range of offical and KO TFs but he just emailed me w/ an offer for Chevrolet Aveo Autobot Swerve for $50 USD and $15 USD shipping. I've never taken up any of these offers b/c of my risk averse nature but if anyone wants the details. Please email me and i'll forward you the e-mail.

More importantly, I'm suspecting he/she may have acquired a small batch. They're based in HK and another HK seller paranoiid seems to have 1 or 2. This would make it seem possible that more Aveo Swerves may hit eBay soon enough. Keep your eyes peeled.

iceburn
7th April 2008, 08:42 AM
There has been more than 5-10 that hit ebay last week.
I kept tracked of 2 BIN auctions but were gone over the weekends.
They were roughly priced at US$50 hence my reluctance to buy it straight away.

Well, looks like we're a step too late

Just saw this. HLJ are/were offering a limited number (probably as second hand stock) for 10,000 yen (about AU$100) each!!!
Not sure if this could even be considered an option, but some people are desperate.
