No deluxes or voyagers on sale
Might be attracted by the PCC 5 pack....

Oh sweet, on the positive I can save up money over the next month until I can finally afford DEVASTATOR!!!

What a pathetic bunch of TFs offerings...
The PCC 5-pack is the only 'Assortment' item on sale - everything else is one-off TFs items.
Hope they at least stock wave 2 PCC 5-packs, or some other new stuff to make it worth checking out next week.

This is the third store to bump the 5-pack PCC down to $30 (Toyworld and Big W the first I'm aware of).
Is this an indication of how much a mark-up they put on things?
Regardless, if you're a PCC buyer then the market seems to be in your favour.

The toy sales this year are a bit of a bust, I must say. Very little new stock, and only some of that on sale (mostly deluxes).
I have seen a PCC Mudslinger (albeit at a KMart). I can only hope this means, as you've pointed out Griffin, that we'll see some Wave 2 PCCs at Target, because that's the only thing this sale has going for it.

How bad is that = you would have thought the Legends Devastator would have been in the sale.
I've been looking ages for it and now I have given up.....

Have you checked a local Target thats setting up for the sale? $49 is a good normal price for Devy. and they are putting out more each day at my local....

Something tells me that Target has invested more money in the advertising campaign for this sale than actually supplying a decent range of products or issuing reasonable discounts.
Big W at least hit the nail on the head. :p

You guys need to look at this sale from a kid's perspective rather than a collector's perspective. There are other toys aside from TFs out there. My daughter and nephews have already pointed out atleast 10 different things (none of them TFs) that they'd like for Christmas this year. So in that sense, this sale is far from a bust.

A true and common sensical point, can you blame us though? :p

Hursticon's right - we're always going to be inspecting the sales through the TF prism. :)

Kmart and Target always have the most disappointing TF sales! Big W is always better, even last year they were better! :(
What happened to their 20% off TFs thingy they used to do?
Though I've gotta say, their 20% off Lego is looking quite tempting! :p

Was at my local over lunch today, was speaking to the chick at the games/electronis counter, enquiring whether theyll have the $198 X-Boxs in stock (they will :)) and asked that question to which she replied 'Im not 100%, but I think not'

Just agreeing with Gantz. The prices change over sometime in the night. (Usually around 7/8pm).
Sometimes you might get lucky and the staff may have already started putting the labels out, but it's not likely. If they're anything like the store I work in they're going to get a bunch of staff to spend fours hours that night simply putting the advertising stickers up.

They put a lot of useless items in toy catalogues to conseal THE toys. It is our job to separate the wheat from the chaff. :P

I;ve been looking in Brisbane for a little while.
Although in the last 2 weeks I've been disheartened and disengaged.
I am going to work in Melbourne on 6 and 7 August. If I dont get one by then, I will try there!

No discount on yellow boxed Voyagers. Also the stores are packed with mums doing toy shopping! Couldn't get out of the store fast enough!

Went to my local store this morning (Mt Druitt).
Nothing much to report. Only the items in the catalogue are actually on sale, all the rest of the normal products are still at their Target prices, so it is still cheaper to get pretty much everything from Big W.
Not sure about other stores, but this one was dead, which is in stark comparison to the local Kmart and Big W when they had their sales.

Ditto with my local store.
Had fingers crossed that they might reduce Leader SS, but no such luck.

Maroochydore Target was packed at opening, and I too copped a few trolleys to the legs. Didn't pick up a single thing. I was hoping for maybe a release of wave 2 Generations, too bad they don't even have wave 1.
Typical Target toy sale though. Minimal discounts but so much adverstising and hooplah that it seems worth it.

Funny, it was scanning as $47 at my store. No price tags to be seen anywhere on the aisle items (and thats where 90% of the sale items were.)

Same as mine (Hollywood Plaza). I went there expecting to purchase it, but after really looking at it, I just couldn't think of a real reason I'd want it, and couldn't think which display he would go in, so I passed...

Don't forget to hold onto your Target Catalogue until the 4th if you are wanting to buy the wave 2 PCC 5-pack from Kmart (if you find them there before the sale ends, and can't wait for BigW to get them in at their regular $30). Kmart 'usually' match sale catalogues, which could save you $9 (or $18 if you buy both).

If the kmart employee does their job properly i don't see how you'd get a discount...

Well, yeah. But then, that's something the staff are barely even aware of.
