Disciples of Boltax via TFW2005 has released an image from the upcoming Animated Almanac showing a resin prototype of an awesome-looking now-never-to-be-released TFA triple-changing Megatron mold. Hot damn that looks sweet, the more that comes out about the plans for TFA S4 the more sad I am it got canned.

Yeah, but those were more than unpainted resin molds; they were fully completed / ready for market toys.

The transformation looks like a back-to-front version of the Leader's, with the front becoming the legs and the cannon/wing edges becoming the arms.

I'm not sure I like the face mask, but damn if that isn't an awesome looking toy. Remind me, why did Animated have to be cancelled in favour of robot testicles?

Nice looking figure, the plane mode is a cross between Scourge and Skyquake...

Loving the shredder/BM Megatron face plate, it actually suits the toy, and would have suited the character too...

I don't really care one way or the other since Season Four never happened anyway - so it's a moot point for me. It's like the prototype Godbomber toy... yeah, it looks sweet, but it was never produced and the anime and manga based their model on the toy that was actually released anyway.

What a shame! Apart from the missile launchers looking too big in robot mode it's just about perfect.
