I am trying to complete a set which belongs to a moon base thing (Lego Systems #6958)

I have put it together and realised I am missing the following pieces.

I'd appreciate some help in identifying what these parts are I need, and where I could find them. If you yourself have some of these pieces that you'd like to give me or sell to me I'd really appreciate it!

No 5. I need in WHITE.

EDIT:

OK I have identified the pieces as the following:

1 73092 Black Magnet Cylindrical
1 2607 White Magnet Holder 2 x 3

2 4287 White Slope Brick 33 3 x 1 Inverted
1 3747 White Slope Brick 33 3 x 2 Inverted
3 3660 White Slope Brick 45 2 x 2 Inverted
4 3038 White Slope Brick 45 2 x 3

Can anyone here help me out with these or should I just stick to ebay?

You could spend a lot of money ordering lego parts off Ebay, or you could save yourself some dollars and go to your local Sunday Morning Markets, those markets where people can sell their household items and there are toy vendors. At my local market I saw bags of lego pieces for $5 and there were over 100 pieces and some were bound to be ones you are looking for.

Good idea. In Melbourne there is a guy at Camberwell market selling Lego pieces on a Sunday morning.

I'd really appreciate it.

I still haven't decided if I should go to the trouble of finding the missing pieces. Lego seems so expensive these days. Last night I saw some minifigs I own sitting on ebay for $20 buy it nows, that's nuts!

Most likely I will continue putting together the Lego sets I own and creating a huge list of all the missing parts I need, probably better to do that really.

Yep, much better to get a complete list first then order from brick link.

If you need instructions or parts lists, use www.peeron.com (http://www.peeron.com)

yeah bricklink is the place to go.
I have a bricklink store - not sure if i have all of those particular pieces.

I do have plenty of surplus - my 'building' supply - including some of the magnets i think. once you have a complete list i'm happy to hunt through what i have.

Adding two more, officially complete!

1 4593 OldGray Hinge Control Stick
1 3062b Blue Brick 1 x 1 Round with Hollow Stud

I have lots of random bits left over, I think I will offer them up for sale here or something. At least the pieces I know are useless to me.

Sorry for the tripple post. Thought I'd take an image of my lego all put together as best I can with the missing pieces.

I do have one more Snow Planet piece which is one that has 4 wheels and stuff, but I'm missing so much from it I might as well forget about it.

These are the sets I own, some aren't pictured because I'm missing too much and I'm "writing them off."

6020-1: Magic Shop
6815-1: Hovertron
6856-1: Planetary Decoder
6879-1: Blizzard Baron
6939-1: Saucer Centurion
6958-1: Android Base
6246-1: Crocodile Cage
6834-1: Celestial Sled
6814-1: Ice Tunnelator
6115-1: Shark Scout x 2

I love the Saucer Centurion because it opens up to drop the little android on a car thing, pretty sweet.

Are these from child hood or something? Just curious what's up with all of the missing parts.

Anyways keep an eye on ebay because I have been seeing a lot of big parts lots being done. Might be able to grab a bag full of parts and get some pieces you need.

Yea these are from when I was a kid. I haven't touched the stuff til now, and I've found I'm missing quite a few pieces.

Do you know the exact set name? I had a couple of those as a kid, but can't remember the name. The reason I ask is because when I search I can look for parts lots of that set here in the USA and let you know if I find anything.

That's the set so it might make the parts search easier!

I just put in an order via BrickLink from an Aussie seller, over 30 pieces! It will mostly complete all my sets, but I still have some parts I need to track down.

I love BrickLink, it's a damn handy website. And if you really wanted to you could easily track down pieces and construct your own sets without actually buying them.

thanks for the info on that! Maybe I can find some older things I am after.

Ha! I've now put in 5 separate orders with 5 people on the website now. I kind of had to add random bits I don't really need to meet their minimum requirements. I think once I get it all I will have everything complete!

I was even able to purchase some instruction booklets to go with my sets too!

Sorry mate, doesn't look like there's anything there I need.

I have paid for the 5 orders from brick Link. I'm going to guess after they're here I will need only a few more pieces to complete all my sets.

Could probably close this thread now I think :D
