An online store I want to purchase some items from, Art Accessories (http://www.artstore.net.au), use PayPal to process payments made by visa and credit cards.

Does anyone know if PayPal are safe/reliable for this kind of thing? I've heard horror stories about PayPal in the past (such as them pilfering money from people's bank accounts w/o authorisation, freezing accounts for no reason, etc), so I'm real hesitant at the moment to order what I want from Art Accessories.

I have never heard such horror stories. Personally I would prefer to use paypal and not give my credit card number to every tom, dick and harry. I assume paypal is more expensive and their customer protection isn't what it would be on ebay...but these are just assumptions.
