Apparently Activision have first week sales figures for the WFC game (the AUS branch said it would be a month or so before they knew how well it was selling).

There is no source for this info, so can't be trusted until an official Activision source is quoted.

Until then, the figures suggest that worldwide, Xbox sold about 119,000 copies in the first week, followed by PS3 with about 76,000, Wii with about 15,000 and NDS with about 8000.

If these figures are true, it seems that the Xbox is the prefered version, or just the most common console for gamers now (which wouldn't be surprising if you can get one here for half the price of a PS3 console now).

No idea if these are good initial sales figures, but the rankings for the week suggests that they are.

If a source is ever quoted, I'll post it up, and maybe keep track of how the game goes over the first few weeks.

xbox live is better than psn and is prefered by americans.
i have to say that actually trying to communicate with people over psn is such a hassle.

im sure sales will pick up with school break. i bought the game for $80 at release but returned it to eb (the copy was not sealed wtf?) and got it for $58 instead.

i'll have to try the DS versions and see what they're like but i am staying the hell away from the wii version.

I asked the fansite at that link above for their source, and they responded with:
