I just watched the video for a new song soon to be released by English music producer Mark Ronson and was intrigued by the theme of the video, especially the opening seconds where the synthesizers seem to transform (you'll see what I mean). The video has a very 'Japanese toy commercial-esque' feel to it.

Am I right in feeling that inspiration has been drawn from toy commercials for lines such as Microman and Diaclone or is this how Japanese toy commercials are in general?
