Demonac seems to think he's pretty cool... keeps trying to convince me to buy one, but even for $5 I'm not interested.

I like him. Although he is not a very good toy, he is still very interesting. I don't understand the hate for the toy even if people don't like it.

I always thought he was a cool figure and an excellent example of what a FUZOR is supposed to be, the colouring works really well lending a nod to G2 Pyro/Spark. :D

Oh, come on, he's terrible! :p

Mainframe got it right when they picked Quickstrike and Silverbolt from the Fuzor line. If they got rid of the wing flap gimmick from Silverbolt and tweaked the design slightly, Hasbro could make a Silverbolt thats spot on to the show, with the wings flat to the back, rather that lateral.

It is a F'UGLY toy!

Put your hands up anyone here who quickly grabbed the first Injector they saw on a toy shelf.

This toy peg-warmed for aaaaages in stores. For months and months I kept walking past rows of dust-gathering Injectors and thinking, "Eww.." Eventually I just caved in and bought one just to satisfy my morbid curiosity... and yep, it's a pretty darn ugly (even by Fuzor standards) and mediocre toy IMO. The beast mode looks like a hornet wearing a lionfish mask for some Decemberween party. And the robot mode just looks ridiculous with the lionfish component "regurgitating" the robot face out.

In terms of technical engineering, the toy is not much better or worse than any toy of its time. In terms of design, I think the "stack a fish on a hornet" is rather underwhelmingly bland and unimaginative. More popular Fuzors have the two beast modes blended in a more interesting way - for example, Silverbolt isn't just a wolf sitting on top of an eagle; he's got the head, body and hind legs of a wolf, with the wings, fore legs and tail of an eagle. I like how Quickstrike is a scorpion whose tail is the body and head of a cobra.

Oh, and from TFwiki:
"Injector is one of the most notorious peg-warmers of all time. To the days of Armada, Toys "R" Us shelves could still be found lined with schools (swarms?) of Injector figures."

I once asked Ben Yee why the hell he gave Injector such a positive review, and he said that there is a considerable amount of effort that's been put behind this toy; and while the results may be questionable, he praised the toy for what designers were trying to achieve with it. So like I said, from a technical engineering POV it's not badly constructed. I think most people dislike it from a visual aesthetic POV.

I do like how Beast Wars Neo portrayed their version of this mould (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Rartorata) (as well as the other Blentrons) as demonic heralds of Unicron. That did work well with the toy's visual motif IMO.

But yeah, Injector's not my favourite toy... and no, you can't have mine. :p

Even though i love him i just wont pay more than $5 for him.
heh... you want to buy a 12 year old Deluxe for a third of the price of a current Scout. Good luck! You might find a loose one for the price, but I don't fancy your chances of finding a sealed one. And I think $20 is a good price for a sealed Injector.

But yeah, I'd probably look for a cheaper loose one if I were you. ;) :D Can't be that hard to find can it? Those things were as common as chips... where'd they all go?!? (o_O)

Mainframe got it right when they picked Quickstrike and Silverbolt from the Fuzor line.
I like the way Jhiaxus once described Fuzors... Transformers Wuzzles (http://video.adultswim.com/robot-chicken/sting-me-in-the-hole.html) :D

...despite the fact that the toy came before the show. I think the dude at Hasbro who had clairvoyant abilities quit her job and bought a Lotto ticket.

I'm well aware the toy came 1st. I meant if Hasbro gave the figure another go, which I'd quite like to see.

Hasbro wants to expand the RPM line with Mask like transformations on vehicles

I guess it's what Walmart wants.

Ooh, a Classicsverse Silverbolt. That would be neat. :) I'd also like to see a Classicsverse original/pre-Transmetal (http://tfwiki.net/w2/images2/a/ad/BAintroduction.jpg) Blackarachnia too... cos damn she be HAWT! :D

I won't comment on it's 'hotness', but yes, I would also like to see someone give an original Blackarachnia mould another go. She's earnt it.

Well, at first when I saw that figure in the shelves yeeeeaaaars ago, I went ...meh?!?!. BUt I looked at it for some time at the last parramatta fairs ( there was one there alays at Jaime's pile and kinda grwon on me:p, So I bought it a few fairs back. Its a"cute" toy for me now - cute by this definition is Ugly but interesting ....for me. I like it and for the $5 I paid for it, joints still tight and everythings theres I like it.:D:D

Oh and would like Classics/ Universe2.0/Generations version of Silverbolt and Blackarachnia too!! More poseable/foldable wings on doggybot I say!! Nev ermind a firing mislle gimmick, its against US laws anyhow and a choking hazzard for "some" kids. SO just have two blade feather swords which can tuck in the wings but not hinder the poseability ... Ive already got things in mind, dunno if its cost feasible though with Hasbro's budget per toy:p

I would give my left arm for a new Classics-styled Blackarachnia!

And that's my "Me Time" arm.

...Well...not the whole thing, Y'know what, never mind.

I think a New BA would have to be mostly a shellformer for Beat Mode accuracy though.

What..Injector? Who cares!

Injector is great dammit! Haters gonna hate, but I loves him. Totally worth more than the $5 it cost me MOC hehehe. Its like if H.R. Giger had a shot at desgining a BW fig.

Surely his Predacon casemate (and my namesake) is just that bit more Gigeresque. :)

It's just the Beast Wars tech-specs art, so you can find it in a variety of locations on the web. Here is as good a place as any:

http://transformers.winterchill.com/bwarch/tspeca-i.html
http://transformers.winterchill.com/bwarch/tspecj-r.html

Cheers mate, the artist/s did a fine job on the BW Box art, easily up there with the artists for the G1 Box art IMO. :D

*raises hand*

He was one of the Beast Wars figures I most looked forward to when they first came out. Loved him then, loved him now.

I have Rartorata, and yeah, I really like the toy. You, may not like it, but It's aesthetically pleasing to me.
