I've had a play with Griffin's toy and liked it. It's better than Ultimate Bumblebee for sure. The transformation is a little fussy, certain bits have to be in place first for it all to work, but it was an enjoyable challenge getting from robot mode to vehicle mode.
I may wait and look at getting the Japanese MP version instead if I can get it at the same price/cheaper. I could live with out the gimmick arm too, and at one point I triggered the sound effects too easily... but the transformation underneath it all is pretty solid.

BUY THIS GUY, he does not disappoint. Love the variation in sound bites variable to the state of his gun arm and mask, he's too dam cool!

I'm considering getting him, as it seems he's cheapest at K-mart, is he worthy of the Masterpiece title?
(I realise this is not SPECIFICALLY Masterpiece BumbleBee, but it's really a matter of paint.)

Thanks to Big W's cheap "Everyday" price of $58.67 I picked up this figure. I had no intentions of picking it up at any other price above $60 though and I must say I'm quite surprised by how much better this figure is than I thought.
The bot mode doesn't really look "Leader" class in detail but I believe they sacrificed detail for playability and stability. Since Bumblebee is the most popular movie character among the masses the unsuspecting kid won't be too frustrated with the playability or conversion. The right arms auto-morph feature is really neat and all the various light and sounds from this figure makes having the gimmick totally worth it and should please the non-fans.
During conversion there are some pretty big joints and hinges to allow for "rougher touch" conversion, making it ideal for little ones, although not too young as it still requires some precision and finesse. All the robot parts pretty much scrunch up inside the vehicle shell pretty well and just requires a little precision to line up the rear of the vehicle.
Vehicle mode is nothing too special. It's the same old Camaro Concept, opening doors, rolling wheels and the ability to have the missile racks to be hidden or flipped out (with some minor converting). The 3 sound bites in vehicle mode is nice too. The back wheels don't touch the ground on smooth flat surfaces due to the robot kibble but it might just be how I tucked it in.
Overall, totally worth it for the big W price and along with Battle Blade deluxe and Human Alliance versions, we have 3 of the best in a seemingly endless number of moulds and re-moulds for this character. The numerous (I think I counted 12-14 different) sound samples, very sturdy build and a fine balance in ease vs complexity for the conversion makes this a solid figure from Hasbro.

I was amazed how good of a toy he is compare to ultimate bumblebee(i actually gave that away) , they improved on everything .He's fun to play with, making lots of sounds in both mode. He even play the theme from gen1 but got annoying when the sound of transforming him keep playing as he take ages to transform and there is no off switch!
He is truly deserving of the masterpiece name.
