What is your favourite weapon from Transformers?

Long range - this equals guns, lasers, rockets and stuff.

Short range - this equals swords, axes, staffs and stuff.

It must be in the Transformers universe.

Favourite range weapon: G1 Shockwave. ;) Discluding actual Transformers... hrmm... that random little purple gun Megatron happened to find on the ground at Autobot City. It's small yet powerful enough to kill Optimus Prime!

Favourite melee weapon: Bludgeon's katana.

Favourite unarmed fighter: Grimlock. ;)

ranged: froma pure visual, I likethe double barreled rifle Classics Prime comes with. Its just a badass looking gun!

Melee: Animated primes rocket axe. It looks cool, its multi functional, and he uses it like a badass.

Unarmed fighter: Maybe a stretch, but classics Mirage had that lanky design and cool poseability, so in my mind he was always an expert fighter (Which I guess follows on with his story in G1 if i remember right).

I don't remember Mirage being an exceptional pugilist in G1... but I agree that the Classics Mirage mould does allow him some neat combat poseability. :) Good call on Animated Prime's rocket axe too -- I love how it also lets him fly... very Mjöllnir-esque! :D

Razorclaws / Predakings weapons.

Transforming gun (transforms from a gun into a gun. You don't get any more gun than that), and gold sword.

Ranged weapon: Tough call, but it's gotta be BW Rampage's gattling cannon, especially his mini-nukes. It only wins out of all the awesome TF weapons 'cos he's crazy enough to shoot them at Optimal Optimus at point-blank range.
Melee weapon: Lugnut's Falcon Punch! Punch of Kill Everything. I can't believe no-one has said this one yet.

Melee fighter: Rattrap, especially versus Waspinator. So low, but so effective.:D

For ranged, Classics Astrotrain's rifle is one that I always give to figures that I feel need a ranged option if I'm messing with them.

For close combat I like Movie Wreckages arm blades.

Best kung fu fighter is Animated Prowl clearly.

I think from an actual toy styling point of view, I have always liked the amount of detail on G1 Snarl's rifle.

Melee, hmmmm. Animated Lugnuts mace. Transforms from mean to kick-ass! bit of a tricky one, so mnay cool TF weapons.

Another fave of mine is the mega cannon G1 Megs stcok makes, and then it can connect to black holes! How hard core is that?!?!?!????

Ranged weapon: energon unicron's chest weapon. It destroys worlds!

Melée: movie blackouts rotor blades = all sorts of carnage.

Unarmed: animated prowl is kick ass but animated jazz takes it to the next level

Gun: Cybertron Megatron's wheel blaster gun

Melee: Universe Tankor's Claw tanker cover

With these in hand I can style any hair to perfection and win at salon wars.:p:p;):D

Yes! Someone who understands!

Though cybertron megs' 'death claw' can also be considered a comb. Nowhere near as good as Tankor's though.

Ranged Weapon: Movie Ironhide's arm mounted blasters. No need to draw your weapon just flick your wrist and unleash hell:D

Melee Weapon: Drift's swords (If Drift is awesome and he holds those swords... then if I hold those swords I should be... I better hold those swords)

Cybertron Defence Scattorshot's rifle. It might not be a big bad rocket launcher or death ray or hax cannon, but you know what it is? A stock standard rifle that anyone with the generic 5mm fist holes can hold. And by god we don't get enough of them with our transformers. I swear a good chunk of my collection are unarmed or relying on alt-mode cannons. Half of them don't have a gun!

The death claw can be used as a decorative hairpiece comb, used like em in chinese movies with the ladies full of dangling ornaments in their hair while they kick the ass off their enemies with stunning kung fu moves:D helps keep the hair in place :p or thos Spanish hair comb accessories they put after they bun the hair at the back - Mantilla Hair combs:D

GP: your Tfs then are fighting a more dangerous battle -Full hands on combat, those who know martial arts get an upper "hand" so to speak. :D:D

Long range - MP Skywarp Sidearm Cannons. Though they don't fire projectiles, they have such an awesome sleek design that oozes badassery and deadliness.

Short range - ROTF Leader Optimus Prime Dual Blades. Primey's so hardcore he prefers doing a John Woo with swords instead of guns!

BW Break's Ass cannon

Ranged Weapon: Big Convoy's Big Cannon. Just too ridiculous for me not to love it. Virtually too big to hold; the fold out handle; 2 missiles with a rotary firing mechanism (instead of plain old push-button-clips); all those alt mode panels; and a whopping great big mammoth trunk hanging off the back! Plus it can be used in beast mode and is able to blow-up small planets. Simply awesome.
Is there another TF weapon that is such an integral part of the figure's alt mode?
Special mention: Megatron's Fusion cannon. Iconic.

Melee Weapon: Magnaboss' sword; Drift's twin short swords; Optimus Primal's dual swords.
Special mention: TFA Prowl for having such unique and cool weapons.

I don't remember Mirage being an exceptional pugilist in G1.

I dont claim to be HALF the expert u are, and i havent watched G1 in years, but isnt there something early on where Mirage shows how badass he is, and one of the otehr autobots asks him why the pacifist is such a good fighter? I gorget his response, but Im sure I remember that. hes ona walkway or bridge or something and flips onto it knocking some decepticon flying...

More Than Meets the Eye part 2, the battle in Sherman Dam. Mirage kicked some major ass in the cartoons, especially the MTMTE 3-parter and Traitor!.

In the Sherman Dam battle Mirage attacked Thundercracker and Skywarp, who easily overpowered him and threw him off a bridge. Mirage managed to hang on while Cliffjumper came to fight the 'Cons who overpowered him and pinned him to the floor. Mirage then swung back up and used the element of surprise to kick Thundercracker and Skywarp. In "Traitor" Mirage did join other Autobots in fighting against the Decepticons after the cerebro shell was removed - he was alright in that fight, but didn't strike me as being particularly exceptional. <shrug>
