Got him the other day. He is a smart looking robot.Though dont like how the red missiles are long and stick out at the back. Tank mode is not really exciting though. Front doesnt click together well. Nice if he was bigger

Had a look at Justowen's (I havent found the second wave myself yet), and was a bit disappointed with Hailstorm. It feels lacking in appearance, and I wanted the missiles to be springloaded...

Now that I have it, I'm still bugged by its aweful vehicle mode and missiles, but still recommend it as a new mould.

nope. you have to fire it for him, by pushing the missles yourself.

I really like this guy. Sure his transformaton is simpler than most movie deluxes, but it's no worse than most Cybertron or Energon deluxes (actually, more complex than a few Energon toys).

I like how the missilerack transforms into over-shoulder racks without the need to remove his missiles. I also like how the missilerack is targetable and rotates through 180°.

I finally picked up Hailstorm the other day...and I have too say
that he looked a lot better in the online pics and videos...

I'm actually kinda disappointed with him...he's not a bad toy...he
just seems too be missing something...

yeah i thought he looked better in online pics too.

he's missing 8 Spring loaded missles. I think that would have made it fun for me.

I like this little bloke, the headscuplt is much better in person than photos depicted, I think the colouring is a little off, but a little paint and removal of the dodgy snow camo should make him look top of the line. I like his simple transformation its solid and you don't feel like you are going to break anything moving his parts around.

I like this toy even less now that I've played with my own. The vehicle mode just doesn't seem to lock together in a few places, and the istructions didn't suggest that it is supposed to.

instrustions are always lacking. as far as i can see, his shoulders at the back lock into the rear of the treads and his legs clip into the front of the treads.

i like to keep him in alt mode and slot him onto the back of seaspray.

the thing i dislike most is his arms they're just designed funny.

I like him. He's got an ape like menace about him - you can even pose him with his knuckles on the floor with a reasonable degree of success. He reminds me of whatever the Gorilla Zoids were called.

oh i like him, funny enough. but there are parts that could use improvement to make him a toy worth getting for most people.

Just got this fella the other day.

Really like him. The fact that he's ugly adds to the appeal. He matches the description that says he's clumsy.

Also, is it just me or are the quality of transformers getting better. Hailstorm feels really sturdy.

The vehicle mode on mine doesn't lock up properly. Also not keen on the missiles being so long - in vehicle mode it's fine, but in robot mode I don't like seeing all those red rods poking out from the back. :/

Otherwise I don't mind it. Apparently this toy was inspired by G2 Mindset (and apparently there's going to be a Mindset repaint).

He looks like you'd need another one of him just to take him down.

He has a Gorilla mode... where you just bend him over to have his arms touch the ground (yes, I'm lazy).
And I agree with Goki, his missiles sticking out like that is really an eyesore but 8 missiles on a deluxe? When was the last time we got that?
I'm think of leaving him in vehicle mode cos that looks more impressive.

My beloved Crossover Hulk and Dark Crumplezone now has an extra partner in crime. Love this figure. Alt mode is alright but absolutely love the robot modes sheer arm bulk. Big, stupid and SMASHY!
