(haven't got it yet - just played with Justowen's)
It's nice to have more toys of actual movie characters... even if the colouring of the upcoming JP version is more accurate.
I like the way this one turned out, more than Scalpel did... in terms of how well it portrays what was on screen.
Admittedly, we didn't see a robot mode on-screen, but it could be assumed that all cybertronians are convertable... even if it isn't seen in the movie.

A must I think for anyone who wants the complete movie cast.

interesting looking toy. I like the clear wings ( that pic is so clear you can see he is made in China:p) and well and the overall mechanoid creepy insect look. Will get it for sure.
Would be a good figure to make a swarm off. hmmmm:)

This toy's out?! I checked out my local stores yesterday and they had no new stock. Well, other than Stealth Force which excites me as much as receiving a slap in the face with a live trout. (T-T)

From my understanding, this figure is out overseas where Justowen is. But we should be getting it this month if the release schedule is anything to go by.

Looking forward to this lil fella, although I wish they'd done a TFA Waspinator on the arms for a more cohesive bot mode (four arms in the alt mode merge to make just two arms for bot mode). Still, at least it means the mode we're most familiar with won't be compromised. :)

Mine came with Oil pan's instructions. Weird. He's still neat. Although I'm not sure if he's meant to be the little robot bug that Sam Squishes or a Larger Bot as his profile suggests?

The profiles concerning Movie-verse bots generally don't fit eg Devestator, Though i could be very wrong about that.

The insect legs are prone to breaking apart during play. I can imagine a lot of kids losing half a leg here and there. :/ The green might bug (no pun intended :p) some people who are sticklers for screen accurate colours.

The movie Insecticons are like the Constructicons - there's heaps of them. Only apparently without as much diversity as the Constructicons. (reference (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Insecticon_%28Movie%29)) Perhaps the Insecticons can mass-shift and change from a tiny insect to a giant robot. After all, the G1 Insecticons were able to do that. (http://tfwiki.net/w2/images2/8/84/MarvelUK-089.jpg) Or perhaps there was another Insecticon - same size as the one Sam caught - that was fighting Bumblebee at the same time as Ravage. Only that he was probably too small to notice on the screen and Bumblebee probably didn't even notice he was being attacked by an Insecticon (it's kinda like watching a flea try to wrestle and elephant :p). After defeating Rampage and Ravage, Bumblebee walked away with Insecticon screaming, "You yellow bastard! Come back here and take what's coming to you. I'll bite your legs off!" :D

So did mine. Must have been a error. Perhaps there are a whole bunch of Oil Pans out there with Insecticon's instructions.
Needs some better articulation. But I like the look of him over all in both modes.

I got the Takara version in the mail today. He's very dark compared to the Hasbro one. Guess he got a taaan in Japaaaan
ahem.
Also, the robot arms are pretty good I think, I've got him to stand up and hold legends figures... hold them hostage that is.

Yeah, you can pose him in that threatening spider pose where they throw up their front four legs to look bigger. :/ you could curl them up so he looks dead though :)

I don't think it's a larger one, his profile just says he wants to "sink his pincers into [Bumblebee's] soft internal wiring" so he could easily be really small and still do that. :/ sounds really creepy though.

Looking forward to adding this one to the Decepticon crew, I went for the Takara version for its clear wings and more realistic paint job. :D Now just gotta wait for Reissue Predaking to ship to get him...

Just got mine and it also came with Oil Pans instructions. I went back to the stores and checked all the Oil Pans to see if they had Insecticon instructions but no deal. then i checked the Insecticon toys to see if it was an ongoing mistake and noticed that all the instructions were hidden by the HFTD code.
Coincidence?
Still, a nice toy if a little fragile

Finally opened my Insecticon today and I'm another one with Oil Pan's instructions. Which annoyed me because I couldn't figure out where the robot head went in insect mode. I tried several options but nothing seemed to lock into place and the packaging picture was no help. I'm disappointed that the wings are fixed and solid. Wasn't really expecting that. The insect legs look good in insect mode but I prefer my robots to only have two arms.

I remember I had trouble with transforming it a few months back. Nearly threw it against the wall!! In the end I got my friends 9 year old to do it ! LOL:o
