..So...he couldn't copy the Chris Latta Voice? It's just Steve Blum's "I'm the Bad guy" Voice from everything he's ever done ever? I'm really annoyed at how Transformers Prime is bringing out my inner Geewunner. Maybe it's old age.

Onizuka FTW, Blum's probably the only reason I might just watch this series.

I was sort of hoping he'd sound like Darkscream.

I'm fairly certain it's the Orichimaru voice, his Green Goblin was a little higher than that.

Sounds ok to me, Animated Starsream had a kind of classic voice must be time for a change.

Glad I listened to the clip. I am sick and tired of Steve Blum's deep nasty voice and was dismayed greatly when I read the title of this thread.
That one was not all that bad though. Hope he doesn't do any others, he works in every damn cartoon and cartoonesque game that guy. I am having Steve Blum overdose something bad.

I like it.
I think it sort of works with the promo art of Prime's Starscream we have seen so far.

Blum's role as Leeron in Gurren Lagann is the most prominent of them in my mind. So now, before Prime starts, in my mind Starscream sounds incredibly flamboyant. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6EO4_1t8qc)

hmmm, so the new starscream sounds like a candidate for a creepier Hannibal Lecter sounding guy. Okay I'll bite.

Even if I was hoping that the guy who voiced Leader "Starsqueem" would do it, this guy seems alright. Not everything needs to be geewun

It sounds just like his voice for Yata from .hack// G.U
do all of this guys voices sound the same?
as a voice for a Starscream i am unsure about it, but i will wait till the show actually starts before i decide if the voice suits the character or not

It sounds alright. My only issue really is with the direction they're taking it in, as opposed to the delivery - the voice sounds dark and twisted, whereas I prefered the more happy go lucky traitor from Animated.

My hopes for a starscream that makes kids wet their pants are gone... :)

From my experiences, yes. yes they do.
I know he has used EXACTLY the same voice in:
Rikimaru from tenchu on the wii/PSP, sorry can't remember name.
War from Darksiders.
Seth from Streetfighter 4.
Other countless anime.
And its all the same voice. Although different to that one. I guess its the voice directors that want that style, but whenever I see/hear his name I cringe now, because the voice he used in the games above were most of the time inappropriate (especially for Rikimaru) and tiring.

Ditto, especially since I don't know what SS looks like here. It does ound a bit like SS from the movie games, which I think I thought was OK.

We've seen a few glances at what Starscream looks like.

Essentially Animated Starscream crossed with Voldermort.

Sounds crappy to me... but it might actually suit the show's style! Have to wait and see...
