I gotta say that I have not heard of or seen a Skids in 1984 box. Not that it can't exist in the wacky world of Transformers, but I just have not seen or heard of one...

There is some evidence to support that he was released at the tail-end of '84 (http://www.oocities.com/futuristgroup/vskids84.html) so it may be possible, but like you HD, I have never seen one.

I don't suppose you could provided another pic of the copyright info on the back of the box could you talyn8 :) Your pic in the auction chops this off.

I'm going to check my skids box tonight! I think its more a transitional issue with box going from 84 > 85. Just like the later '84 ones where the find the hidden rubsign not on the instructions but a seperate piece of paper.

Oh I think the dinos also had '84 boxes the price for those MISB could pay my rent for a month! :D

No prob, here's a pic of the back of the box. I used my scanner for a clear pic.

Congrats on the sale a cool $898.... I'm pretty sure that would be going straight to AFA to be the only Skids in 1984 box variant!

Nice...! :)
I remember reading somewhere (I think that Mark B. ID Guide) that Skids was packed 1 per wave box.. so a MISB example in this condition is a rare find.
