This was just posted over at TFW2005 (http://www.tfw2005.com/):

According to TFW2005's Optibotimus, apparently, the CrazyDevy (http://www.crazydevy.com/) CDMW-11 G1 Predaking Wing Upgrade kit (http://www.crazydevy.com/2010/07/blog-post.html) can cause some Major Damage (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/generation-1-1/crazydevy-g1-predaking-add-on-wings-review-and-qc-warning-170721/) to the wings of Divebomb.

CrazyDevy have apparently responded to one person's complaint on the issue by stating:

Optibotimus: they basically said that any damage caused was because the person putting the upgrade set on, didn't use "artisan skill".

This has certainly made me second guess purchasing this kit for the 2010 Reissue, which is a pity as they look really good. :(

i think by artisan they mean someone that is highly professional and has atleast 25 years experince in the field...

so i dont know many professional predaking wing fitters out there... i wonder if a mechanic will do....

that is pretty poor design if it destroys the wings... but i will not get the i am not really a person for the after market mods....

I wonder how the wings damage the toy to begin with.

I suspect the weight of the wings has something to do about it.
Artisan...? Really? That's his reasoning for it to be causing damage to an already hard-to-get toy? Seriously, how many Transfans have professional level skills? That's ridiculous.

Are these those ridiculous 24K gold plated wings?

I just saw the review. I was under the impression that the upgrade replaced the whole wing assembly not extend it. Too bad about the damage, This makes getting this set a definite no.

Aside from that, the wings look to ridiculously big and disproportioned. It seems too dependent on the other upgrades for proper scaling.

I thought the wings came with two massive shoulder cannon mounts as well? I remember seeing a photo somewhere, but I guess my memory must be playing up.

I'm a huge predaking fan, his combined form is unmatched in bad-ass-ery; but oversized customs wings at $60US a pop BBTS pre order is hectic.

On a similar note, check out all the Devastator custom pieces. Whacky prices man

Probably channeled to the grooves of the originals and he slid them on unaligned properly. Looks like some force would have been involved too. Silly user mistake for sure.

I find it very funny. :)

After watching the review I go... 'Yes, it looks awesome. Yes, there's a lot of potential... but no! I do not want a damaged Predaking just to do that.' Unless I find parts cheap, there is no point.

My feelings exactly dude, 60 odd bucks to damage a figure that costs a mint? no thank you. ;)

I Don't own a Predaking, but would be Very annoyed if I'd had the same thing happen to me. And certainly not buying anything from CrazyDevy if the response you get is basically "It's your fault, not ours."
