Good tributes though, and that is a pretty decent G2 Prime, kinda mixed feelings about him though. I'm a bit over Prime's. Also the G2 figure was a lot more advanced than G1 Prime, so it wont be the first time G2 Prime is articulated or anything. I hope they make a Scourge/Black Convoy repaint though, surely Takara will.

Yeah, my thoughts also... they look a little dated in design quality imo. Scourge's alt is so plain. Maybe better pics down the track will do them a better justice, but it's a no go for me at this stage.

G2 Prime's door and roof section look a bit crappy as blue instead of black IMO.. hoping most of the deco problems (ie tracks hood) will be fixed with United releases (hoping these pics are placeholders of hasbro versions)

I love that G2 Prime.
I'm sure we will get a black repaint of him but I really hope (but know it will never happen :() that we get a Toxitron repaint.

Scourge is one I'll probably get just so I can display him with Classics(verse) Cyclonus and Galvatron. I can't believe that they would make a non-transforming Fracas though... is there a source for this (aside from the normal fansite chatter)?

EDIT: I noticed that, ironically, one of the sponsors on those racing trucks is Tonka :D

They both look cool. Sculptwise Laser Prime looks more 'buff' than the original, but engineering wise I'm not sure if it's that big a leap of an improvement from the original. But I suppose the original's already so damn awesome anyway. :p And also if this toy is a deluxe it would be sold at a substantially cheaper price point than the original too. :)

I like how Scourge's jet mode is - ya know - a jet! In 1986 when I first saw Scourge's alt mode, I honestly thought it was a boat. It wasn't until I saw Transformers The Movie that I realised it was meant to be a flying boat. What's that? It's meant to be a jet?!? Get the frag outta here! :p

The pink fingertips are funny and a nice nod to the G1 cartoon. I like how it also comes with a Targetmaster weapon, but I'm disappointed to hear that it won't transform. Why?? Universe Cyclonus' Nightstick transforms, and Scourge's engineering doesn't look so much more complicated than Cyclonus that they had to sacrifice Fracas' transformation. Unless those pink lady-nails blew the budget...

Definitely getting G2 Prime. The original laser rod was and still is my fave TF toy of all time. Hope they do at least as well.
