I like this one better than Lockdown, because I am able to look at this as a new toy and character, and not a lazy copy of a toy that didn't need a 'movie version'.
I don't immediately think of Lockdown and Animated with this one, and I prefer to keep those two universes distinctly separated.

I was tempted, due to me liking the vehicle mode, but the grey plastice when I saw it in person just put me right off. Not even a new head and hook could persuade me.

I'm tempted to get this because I had the Action Master as a kid and it's a very nice homage.

I saw this toy at a store. I was disappointed by the really cheap looking gray which dominates the figure. I will be giving it a miss as I only had a mild interest in the figure due to the AM homage but the gray killed the deal for me as I wasn't impressed by it.

Hadn't actually thought about the AM homage, but that helps recommend it.
And I seem to be one who likes the grey, because it gives it a distinctly different look to Lockdown, who IMO shouldn't have been in the movie universe to begin with.

It's a good match for the Action Master grey which is what I like about it. And fictionally it's kind of fits that the two Bounty Hunters would have similar body types.

I would have bought it when I saw it but figured I could wait for a $20 sale price since it's a repaint of a toy I already have.

I didn't wait for a sale which was bad of me.

I love the homage, but his head seems too big. He's a giant deluxe anyway compared to Terradive and Tomahawk, but the oversized head makes it worse. Lockdown's more narrow head and the way it blends into his neck was much more proportionate. I also had a bit of trouble with his right arm and it's kibble, more so than I recall with Lockdown. The shoulder joints are quite loose too. Get it if you had Axer as a kid and you can find it on sale.

Wonder if takara would bother making a version of this toy... might make a better gray - darker, metallic than the meh one Hasbro issues out. Still Ill get it only if cheaply sold.

i think the head in general is bad.. the same with the lockdown version.... they both seem out of place on the robot

The Hasbro-grey is a pretty good match for the Action Master's Hasbro-grey.
