Today I present the aftermath of another restoration job. I caught this here Scourge hiding in a hot dog factory. Taken by surprise the silly sausage fell into the mustard tank and, as a result, caught a bad case of 'Look ma, I've got jaundice!'. It's okay though, I brushed him up, gave him some new 'cals so all's well in the world again. Move along now Scourge, but don't hit on Red Alert's missus!

Below is my haul from the Parra Fair today. All of these are courtesy of the very awesome 1AZRAEL1 and the equally awesome gamblor916. Of course my favourite is Twin Twist ;) (joking, sorry gamblor). I still can't get over how minty that Megatron box and foam tray is 1AZRAEL1. Don't worry; I will take great care of it. You have visitation rights of course :D

Not in the 'dealerverse old son. :p To me they represent an equalizer as (in my mind) they do for the original soundwave. Whoever did the art for the Takara books re-issue seems to agree with me. :D

I agree with your placement of the stickers. Putting them on the batteries just seem, silly.

Thanks mate, twas a good way to end the week. And I know what you mean about Sixshot, he's certainly a curious one! I was a bit worried when I picked him up from the post office as the box was ridiculously light, so much so that I thought I had been sent the box and that was it. Once you get him out-of-box though, he's (as you suggest) surprisingly huge and very solid. You definitely get your moneys worth!

Love Sixshot too. The set will be complete next to Greatshot. What a pair that's make!

That would be my doing, they were sitting on my bookcase looking remarkably attractive and un touched sitting next to my soft cover versions, when hursti expressed his interest in the hard covers I mentioned I had a stack of them and could be convinced to part with them

Ironic... you got Hasbro Animated Rodimus Minor and I got TOMY Animated Rodimus on the same day from the same convention. And maybe in the same room (cos I got mine from Tober's stall in the small room)!! :D :) But obviously at different times of the day cos I didn't see you at the Fair (but I hope to catch up with you next time!)

Thanks Hursty. Wow, those HC titan books looks so nice! Sadly my Marvel G1 comics collection isnt in a very nice condition -uber well read hahaha. I think Ill re-collect them in TPB. Somebody got a list of them TPB somewhere? Oh and yes Clayface is soooo freakin Awesome!! Glad the seller sold it split (it a 2-pack with batman - which I have already)... the seller actually joked about him when selling to me - he said "That would look very nice on display in your toilet". :D:D:D The guys, back in my house dubbed him the "shit demon" aka :D:D hahahahh Hopefully you make it again next fair yeah?!

Cheers dude, they are in great condition and the HC versions have the far superior Cover Artwork, IMO. ;):)

Yep, they were certainly courtesy of Sharky, Mr. Heroic. :)
When the opportunity arose I jumped on it and I'm glad I did because they are in more or less Mint Unread Condition!, added the fact that they are just all shades of cool and Sharky is a top bloke to deal with. :D
(If only the G1 Cartoon had this sort of writing at the time ;):p)

Finally! I've spent hours and lots of driving checking all the usual places in town for Soundwave and now I finally have him. He was literally the last one in town!

Red Alert is a Christmas gift though so I don't get to free him from his plastic prison just yet :(

My recent acquisitions from eBay - some G1 posters including one of my 'grails' from issue 320 of the UK comic series :D:D:D I only have the poster from issue 321 to find (the 3 posters join together to create a huge battle scene).

I believe so. The seller that I bought the posters from emailed me and said they've got a tonne of other stuff which included a booklet which matches the description. The transaction wasn't done through eBay so I won't know for sure until it arrives.

If I recall correctly, UK #200 together with the booklet was the first ever time that we see Furman's version of the TF origin story with Primus and Unicron being 'gods' etc. This version of the origin was then subsequently rehashed into Marvel US by Furman. Pretty exciting stuff. Back then, getting #200 was one of the most exciting moments in my young life. I've re-read it so many times since '88/'89 that my copy and the booklet is very tattered now.

The booklet from UK #200 just rehashes the origin of Unicron and Primus as told in #150, HD.

Thundercracker is beautiful - definitely the best coloured seeker Alternity.

Another day, another Prowl. Everyone can just relax knowing the streets will be that much safer tonight. :D

Thanks, i read over on TF1 that they only made 300. And only 50 of those came with a plane white box with no sticker which is waht i got :D But don't care about the box more interested in Tracks himself

This was a lucky draw or mail away item or something like that yes? Had no idea it was so rare. I actually saw these on each of my trips to Japan but passed cos it was 'just another coloured' Autobot car. :(

Yeah, it was an interesting read. Wish it was bigger though; it only covered a handful of the characters e.g. Grimlock, Metroplex. But what can you expect from something that was a free gift...

Ordered and paid for The IDW Collection #1 for $34.58 AUD shipped. If it lives up to my expectations I will order Vol 2 and 3 when Vol 3 comes out.

Does anyone know if Last Stand of the Wreckers will be in Vol 3 or 4 later on?

Volume 3 doesn't even get to AHM, so LSotW is likely to be volume 4 or 5, as it would be after AHM, Coda, several spotlights, and some of the Ongoing and possibly Bumblebee series.

From comments here and my own observations it seems impossible to get a scratch free Generations Blurr so I bought the best of the four at Chadstone today. It's not perfect but not that bad either and I want the toy for robot mode more anyway. Also got ROTF Hubcap while it was (finally) on sale for $12.

I don't like the Idea that when I finally find Blurr he's gonna be scratched. Oh well. fingers crossed when I go hunting tomorrow.

The Blurr I got is fine, but had mine imported. Only gripes I have are some of the paint is not the greatest, but barely noticable anyway. Maybe we got all the rejects :p

But even if the bonnet and car mode surfaces are unscratched, you may experienced a scratch on one of the robot mode parts, like on my TFCC Dion :(

Interesting seeing people talk about the Diaclone stickers on Prowl. I missed out on the original Prowl in 1984, but I got Classic Prowl in 1990 - so that was the one I grew up with, so to me it's "normal" for him to have Diaclone on his stickers. Did the original Prowl have the Diaclone stickers too? Maybe it's only the recent reissues (e.g. TFC, Hasbro Commem.) that don't have it.

I can't see how you could justify (to yourself) returning a toy because it has a scratch on it. It's not broken - basically it means one would be denying someone else a toy (because I doubt it would be resold) for cosmetic reasons. Of course, if it was Blurr's mouldmate I can see how it could be returned.

All the Blurr's I've seen are a bit sloppy in the paintapps, but usually the scratches are minor, just random streaks of blue in places or some dirty marks around the top of the car. I can't help but think if they'd left the toy just a few tones of blue it would have avoided most of these issues. Anyway I'm keeping mine MISB until I decide if I buy the United version. I just wanted a Hasbro one people would want to buy from me should I decide to sell it.

If I saw it had a scratch or other defect through the bubble, then I would return it without opening it. In fact, I study them first in the shop before I purchase to make sure I get the ones with the best paint apps and box. I've left toys behind that I really wanted just because it had noticeable defects. The looks I get from staff and other shoppers is quite funny because I literally pull everything off the shelf / pegs :p I do put them back though.

There has been the odd occasion when these things are not noticeable through the bubble in which case I have already opened it and then went back for a refund.

Scatch = defective. But anyway, I never ended up returning it so it's a moot point. Ironically my Drift came with too much paint apps (black smudges where they shouldn't be) - which I removed with rubbing alcohol (thanks to kup for that advice). So in my experience, with both versions of this mould I've had issues with paint apps. Then there's my experience with both versions of the Universe Hot Shot mould (Hot Shot and Dion)... I just have the BEST luck with Hasbro's toy quality don't I? (don't even mention Animated Blitzwing!!) :p :p

Sixwing, for the price I paid for him :o, isn't too bad a figure, I must say that his colour scheme I prefer over the original but the distinct empty cavity within his chest leaves quite a bit to be desired. :(

Very pleased with the service of AmiAmi too, Predaking arrived faster than anything I've bought from RobotKingdom and really, the $200 price tag on this guy (including postage) was well worth it. :cool:

(Anyone else have potentially dodgy QC on the new Predaking? I had to use a screwdriver to loosen countless parts, and completely disassemble Rampage's chest to rearrange the metal bar for his arms into the right place. Great price though for non-vintage Predacons that I can play with and not have to worry about 'devaluing' them.)
