I'm dying to hear (and see the results) of someone puttings his head on Classics Cliffjumper.

If I find one cheap, I may give it a go.

Can you tell by looking at Bumblebee's head connector?

Someone over at Seibertron did it (http://www.seibertron.com/energonpub/has-anyone-head-swaped-wfc-and-classics-cliffjumper-photos-please-t71543.php#p1154644). Looks ok, but I want to see one in person, or more photos.

IMO the head seems a little small and out of place with the rest of the body. The lack of neck also doesn't help.

Ta. So it can indeed be transferred?

I guess it's down to color matching now. Will have to wait and see it in the shops.

I've seen this toy at TRU, but I'm waiting to find it on sale before getting one.

I swapped the heads just for fun. Easy to do they just pop on. And yes the head looks to small for Classics Cliffjumper :(

PROS: The robot mode and car mode is VERY stylistic and is a nice homage to the original G1 character. I like how the car mode is very futuristic yet still retains its small-figure like in the original cartoons and how the robot mode has the similar small chubby body. For a character like Cliffjumper I believe that the blades and gun (especially the blades) go well with him better than Cybertronian Bumblebee. Personally I like this deco better because I have a red small car too :) Transformation isn't too easy, nor is it too hard - it's duration and level of difficulty is satisfactory enough to justify spending around $24-30 on it. Posing ability is good too.

CONS: When converting from robot-mode to alt-mode this toy has the common problem of panels needing precise adjustment to get it just right. Also I remember there was a portion of the transformation that required flipping some of the front windows about in some odd manner - maybe it's necessary to get into the car mode but is a tad bit confusing in my opinion.

TOTAL: 4/5 - An actually high-quality toy that has the nice transformation of big robot to small car and packs a lot of heat including a gun and 2 blades. A very pose-able toy as well but does suffer from some confusing transformation steps. Overall it's a good toy and worth the money if you don't already own this mold.

Whilst I like the colour and new head sculpt, unfortunately Cliffjumper suffers from the same issues as WFC Bumblebee.

The red colour is such a rich and beautiful hue, it'll be interesting to see where it turns up next and it is contrasted very well with the Yellow highlights and pin striping. :)
The gun though comes across as just too small for old Cliffy and due to the odd engineering of the wrist and arm, he's forced to wield it in a somewhat 'Gangsta' or 'Blat-Blat' type manner which is just a little frustrating. :(

If he is cheap, you love the character or are just a completist of sorts - then I recommend this figure, if you aren't then you're not really missing out on anything here. :o

So I got this toy today - at a discounted price cos the packaging was severely damaged (someone clearly tried to steal this toy but didn't go through with it) -- so I haggled TRU to take $5 off their original asking price. :)

Anyway, the first thing I did after opening it was to swap the head with Classics Cliffjumpers and zOh My Freakin' God what a MASSIVE improvement to Classics Cliffjumper!! :D

Generations Cliffjumper looks awful with Classics Cliffjumper's head -- but of course, that head never suited Cliffjumper to begin with. The red is deeper than that of CLA Cliffjumper, but I don't mind it. The head is smaller, but I think that works in favour of Cliffjumper because it makes his body look comparatively bigger and more "buff" than it did with the original head. Being a smaller head means that Classics Cliffjumper can still easily transform with it, however the larger Classics head on Generations Cliffjumper means that he can't transform into Cybertronian vehicle mode with CLA Cliffjumper's head on - so I have to remove it when transforming him. Generations Cliffjumper's pistol fits into Classics Cliffjumper's fist holes perfectly. :)

I'm personally delighted with my modified Classics Cliffjumper now - for the first time ever this toy actually feels like Cliffjumper to me and not just a red Bumblebee! :D
