Dark of the Moon Toy Revealed-Tanker Truck

We have images of a tanker truck toy apparently from the upcoming Dark of the Moon line. Hurrah for no robot mode pics!

I saw it before it was taken down; twas alright. Hoped it was a bit bigger though; looked like Voyager sized. Or maybe it was actually leader sized and the keyboard that it was sitting on was big!

Interesting... so Megatron is the tanker truck. I didn't see that one coming. It's a bit of a step back for him and goes against his character of having a Cybertronian mode in the first two films because he didn't believe in hiding.

That is awesome. I own one movie toy, but a Transformer wearing clothes is just spectacular enough for this to be my second. His tarpaulin is mistransformed in vehicle mode, but still, I love this thing. I want it so bad.

Overall it looks great. I like that they can maintain the skeletal spiky look with a realistic alt mode.

The only detractor is the torso chunk thing, although to be fair im assuming there will also be a leader Megatron

Hmm wouldve preferred it to be another character altogether ... like say Octane. Sigh, another movie, another version of Megatron, jeez this guy goes thru a lot new bodies and alt modes like Optimal Optimus does:p
Good thing I bought the Jet version - Im fine with just that and nothing else. The tank mode was meh - froggy upperlimbs and big feet. Now this one... though is quite imaginative and so far away from what you'd expect to BE Megatron, still , meh. I preferred it to have been a different character using the mold.

Ironhide is most likely not a leader class. He's the cross-sell on Voyager Megatron's packaging.

Pics of Voyager Megatron's (probably European) packaging and instructions are out in the wild. It is advisable to not linking them here because Hasbro will be very unhappy if you do so.

The instructions now use prototype photos, just like Takara instruction sheets.

I think he looks really really good - as I said before my only down point is the abdomen bit where it's just one big solid chunk of spiky armour segments, although in the final toy it may be coloured differently or not stick out so much.

Glad to here he is a voyager, as a fan of Crab Tank Megs, Deluxe ironhide and Ratchet, and voyager Starscream I prefer my moveee TF's in this scale.

The positioning of the tarp in robot mode indicates it's hiding the damage Megatron sustained in RotF, however, it looks like his arm's grown back. Bonus!

I totally agree. :) Glad to see he's finally some kind of recognisable vehicle instead of an alien jet and alien tank. Making him a truck is an interesting choice... I guess they didn't want to go with a tank because they already did that with ROTF, and a tank isn't the best disguise outside of a war zone (Brawlastator and Bonecrusher (another military vehicle) had to wait in hiding until they were summoned). Also, making him a truck gives him that kind of "Nemesis Prime" feel (right down to red windows on the toy), which can be interesting if done right (and if Michael Bay can't make it so, I will when I get the toy! :D).

Poncho doesn't bother me. Optimus Prime once wore a Santa Claus outfit after all. :p
