Demolition Rumble from the Hasbro website (http://www.hasbro.com/shop/details.cfm?guid=044BA803-5056-900B-10D1-74F565287C1A&product_id=27840&src=endeca), mirrored at Seibertron (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/reveal-the-shield-scout-demolition-rumble/20451/).
DEMOLITION RUMBLE is little more than a low-down dirty thug. Loudmouthed, violent and destructive, he’s the ultimate DECEPTICON foot soldier. He loves any mission that involves wholesale destruction. It’s not uncommon to hear his shrill, maniacal laughter as his pile drivers shake a structure to pieces.
Note that it is a Scout sized figure. Frenzy maybe released in a later wave.
Deep Dive from the Hasbro website (http://www.hasbro.com/shop/details.cfm?guid=0522AF52-5056-900B-10C6-3448123247E9&product_id=27838&src=endeca), mirrored at Seibertron (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/reveal-the-shield-voyager-deep-dive-images-bio/20453/).
DEEP DIVE loves the sea. Floating on the calm, dark blue waters of the deepest ocean with land nowhere in sight, he can finally relax and reflect. Far away from DECEPTICONS and AUTOBOTS alike, he contemplates the true meaning of life. He appears outwardly calm, but inside his mind roils with philosophical concepts both complex and mundane. One day soon, when the war finally ends, he hopes to share his thoughts with his fellow warriors, and show them that there are more important things in life than mere victory.
Note that the bio is vague enough to still not know if this is a Decepticon or Autobot.
(Not happy that they've swapped the colours around again, with Rumble being blue like the Gen1 cartoon - Rumble is red in all other mediums)

shrill, maniacal laughter
I was under the impression that 'shrill' meant high pitched. Quite the opposite of a rumble and perhaps more related to a 'frenzy'. God I wish Hasbro would buy a dictionary and use it for these things.
As for Deep Dive. Blech colours. I am not sure if it's my eyes playing tricks on me, but I think I see the slight forming of an Autobot symbol in his rub-sign.

Ya know, FIRRIB in RtS does NOT change the fact that it's RIRFIB in almost every other medium. Basically this will just mean that it's FIRRIB in the G1 cartoon and Reveal The Shield... but it's still RIRFIB in the overwhelming majority of other G1 mediums.
I think in the end I might just get the Hasbro RtS versions of these toys, despite the FIRRIB -- but when I play with them they'll be RIRFIB in the Gokiverse. :/ It still bugs me though. Gah.
I'm also unimpressed with Rumble's bio attributing his earthquake generating ability to piledrivers. Rumble's original G1 bio states that he generates low-frequency seismic waves into the ground to create earthquakes. That's one thing I liked about the original bios for Rumble, Frenzy and Soundwave -- they all had abilities that were related to sound... (Soundwave has super hearing and Frenzy's a Banshee) which was cool cos it suited the theme of them having audio equipment as alt modes. The cartoon kinda missed the point when they changed the nature of Rumble's ability to that of using piledrivers (although at least he still had it - Frenzy never used his Banshee powers in the cartoon -- it was used once by Soundwave (in the form of 'audio disruptor waves') in "The Ultimate Doom" - but Frenzy himself suffered the indignity of being a 'Rumble clone' in the G1 cartoon )
And if they really wanted to make RtS Rumble create earthquakes with piledrivers... does the toy have piledrivers? That's one thing I liked about Galaxy Force Rumble (aka Cybertron Scrapmetal) -- his hands could transform into piledrivers; a nice touch. :) It'd be nice if Rumble came with piledriver hands and Frenzy came with loudspeaker hands (which would be a homage to the "Super Banshee" upgrade that Wheeljack did on him in Generation 2) -- it'd be a nice tribute for each character and help to differentiate them from each other instead of just being straight repaints of each other. Hey... I can dream... :p

Early pics we have seen hint at Rumble having piledrivers (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attach/4/0/5/9/7/02l_1287405512.jpg) although I tend to believe that this is a fan-made mode / mistransformation than an intended design of the toy.

5FDP: that link doesn't work for me. :(
liegeprime: yeah, Soundwave's G1 profile does mention that he uses his super-hearing abilities against his fellow Decepticons.
G1 tech specs bio: "It is said Soundwave can hear a fly sneeze. Uses anything he hears for blackmail to advance his status. Opportunist. Despised by all other Decepticons. Sensors can detect even lowest energy radio transmissions. Able to read minds by monitoring electrical brain impulses."
G1 TFU profile: "It is said that Soundwave can hear a fly sneeze. It is also said that beneath his smooth-talking, affable surface beats the generator coil of a blackmailer. Those who know these two facts about him are very careful about what they say within earshot of him. Soundwave is the ultimate opportunist and will use anything he can to advance his status in the eyes of the Decepticon Leader Megatron. He doesn't worry about what others think of him because he knows he is nearly indispensable. Although they all despise him, the other Decepticons pretend to like him rather than get on his bad side. As Rumble explains, "Soundwave always has the last laugh.""

Didn't think I woukld like the colours on Deep Dive, but now that I have seen the promo shots I do like and he shall be purchased and opened.
Personally don't care for the RIRFIB or FIRRIB debate, its just good to see a new scout. Hope they faze out all of HFTD Scouts from the RtS case assortments, though I suspct we will see some more repaints to fill out the case just a bit. Who could Hubcap be?

They should recolour Hubcap in yellow and call him Cliffjumper. (To stir up the CIRHIY/HIRCIY debate. :p)

That makes it sound like you won't be happy until Transformers fans are tearing into each other with their bare hands in the streets.
...Actually that'd be a sight to see.
P.s. Rumble is blue. Rumble. Is. Blue.

So maybe Rumble is blue now, but if so lets not forget Octane is Tankor too now, Hasbro and IDW say so!

Demolition Rumble IS Blue, but G1 Rumble is Red. :p
But sure with the Tankor debacle, and that proposed TF named Spastic, seems like Hasbro love to stir controversy with TF names.
This is why I don't read tech specs anymore, lies lies all lies!!!!!!!! ;)

They updated the table at tfwiki.net (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/FIBRIR).
One colour still outnumbers the other though. (and when it comes to Gen1, I go by the toys as a point of reference or to resolve any conflicts)

I see they've also updated it to reflect IDW's self-contradiction. (-_-) But yeah, Rumble is red in the overwhelming majority of cases. Democracy'd! :p

I think this (Rumble/Frenzy/Dave) issue is one big sick private joke within the Hasbro offices. :)
Hasbro Marketing Exec: Watch the forums explode when we give them a Rumble toy that is blue!
Hasbro Toy Designera: Eh, the mould is the same, why not. We will be releasing Frenzy as well right?
Hasbro Marketing Exec: What do you think would happen if we let FunPub do it?

Deep Dive is an Autobot (http://twitpic.com/3t86kh). (damn these RtS figures for not having easy to see allegiances or painted ones on the toys)
It's also been noted that the Autobots are massively outnumbering the Decepticons in RtS.

Not on the front. We rarely get to see the back of packaging before they get released to stores, hence the 'easy to see' bit.
When I'm posting news or adding to the checklist, I'd like to know the allegiance as soon as possible. Something we don't get now with RtS toys until a long time after we first find out about them (or see a pre-production figure with the sticker/painted symbol on it).

Fair enough.
On a side note, have there been any further announcements of further RTS waves (Deluxe & Voyager) past the current one (Wreck Gar, Perceptor, Deep Dive, et al)?

We might get some of those retooled head redecos as one more wave before the TF3 toys hit (with time for the stores to clear shelves before the movie stock arrives). Then we'll probably have a hiatus until after the Movie 'season' is passed.

Can't wait til TakaraTOMY release this blue guy as Frenzy just to really screw with hardcore nerds! :D:D

But Takara have been the ones that are more likely to change colours or add decos to closer resemble the cartoon appearance of a character than the Hasbro versions... so surely Takara will keep Rumble blue, like in the Gen1 cartoon?
Hasbro should have been the one to release Rumble as Red, to match the original Toy Version, which has been their inspiration in previous toy homages that Takara later changes to homage their cartoon appearance.

Rumble was red in the Japanese G1 cartoon. Frenzy was the blue one.

Wasn't Frenzy blue in the Japanese cartoon? I thought he was.
EDIT: Sky Shadow's answered my question.
Anyway, I was really only joking... I think Takara could have fun and call him Frenzy - then the debate would rage on :D;)

27th January 2011, 12:25 AM
Ah okay, so we should definitely see Rumble as Red in Japan and Frenzy as blue, as their Gen1 cartoon and toys were the same.
If it's true that the two are being released as a two-pack in United, the packaging could leave it vague to appease fans of the US cartoon and those who follow the colouring of the toys.

But considering how TOMY's doing a shift toward Anglophone names since the Bay movies came out (e.g. calling Convoy Optimus Prime, Meister -> Jazz, Bumble -> Bumblebee, Cliff -> Cliffjumper etc.), it wouldn't surprise me if TOMY followed Hasbro's suit and went for FIRRIB instead of RIRFIB, even if it meant confusing a lot of local fans. (-_-)
Leaving it vague would be preferable to that.
