View Full Version : Vote now for the 2010 Ozformer Awards

Paulbot
31st December 2010, 10:55 PM
Voting for the 2010 Ozformers Awards has begun.

Voting is open until 24 January with winners announced on Australia Day 2011.

Nothing is compulsory (except your username). If you've got no opinion or interest in a particular category feel free to skip it.

There is an Australian-bias to this survey and the toys listed and eligible for votes are those that were released for the first time in Australia during 2010

There's also questions about the toys that are imported and two new questions to cover the unauthorised toys inspired by Transformers characters.

If I've left an option out use the comments on each page to add your write-in nominations.

Everyone who votes this year will be entered into a draw for a prize, the first 15th anniversary prize draw.

Update: Voting has now closed. Return on Australia Day to see the results!

Where it states Hasbro, is it interchangeable with Takara?
(Like say the 2010 Reissues and what not?)

*Edit: Don't worry dude, answered my own question. :p

Questions 5 and 6 are the same question dude, is one supposed to be Worst?

Paulbot
31st December 2010, 11:56 PM
Question 3 and 5 are about favourite toys and Questions 4 and 6 are about characters.

For example Wheelie might be a favourite character but few if any would say it's one of the best toys (or vice versa)

All done :)

Thanks for taking the time to do this again Paul. It's becoming just as Australian as the Triple J Hottest 100.

All done,

Is it just me or is there fewer questions than last year?

Paulbot
1st January 2011, 05:53 PM
There are fewer. Partly because last year had separate sections for the Animated cartoon and ROTF movie. Also because I tried to streamline it to make it quicker for people to fill out.

Wasn't there also a few questions about comic book writers and artists? it would of been interesting to see how people voted given the amount of different writers and artists idw had this year.

Yay! This is fun to do, thanks again Paul!
I probably shouldn't have filled it in while tired though :o

Universe Hardhead could have been on the import list, or was he 2009?

And 5. and 10. on page 6 are both:

5. Best unlicensed Transforming toy inspired by a Transformer character
10. Best unlicensed Transforming toy inspired by a Transformer character

To which you would have answered 'Fansproject Bruticus' twice. :p

Done and done. Always look forward to doing this, but whenever i get to the part about Best/Worst News for the year, I just draw a blank. Thanks again for taking the time to put all this together, Paulbot.

I'd consider that as a 2009 toy, but that's also what the Other box is for :)

And 5. and 10. on page 6 are both the same

Fixed but I can't remove the question as both has answer. Will merge when preparing the winners. Thanks

Survey all done! Just realised what was actually released in 2010, seems a way too long since the first wave of Generations was released

Where it says best Custom made by fan - do those include what i would consider - pro customisers that typically do commissions? like for example FrenzyRumble

Paulbot
2nd January 2011, 10:48 PM
Yeah, for the international ones those are the ones that would be more recognised and get the votes anyway, but feel free to vote for any customiser.

I don't have a favorite line as such and wish I could choose multiples.

I don't have a favorite line as such and wish I could choose multiples.

Sometimes you've just got to pick one, but I will take on board all comments for next years vote. The suggestion of "favourite line other than g1" looks like a real goer.

Breaking news

I've been advised by Board Management, that everyone who votes this year will be entered into a draw for a prize, the first 15th anniversary prize draw.

So if you weren't sure if you wanted to vote it's time to reconsider.

It's easy, fun and your votes might make the difference! :)

Thanks again to all who voted.

As mentioned there was a lucky draw prize. Everyone who voted got one entry and a random number was picked to decide the winner.

The winner of Animated Deluxe Rodimus is SuspectimusPrime.

Congratulations. Griffin will be in touch to arrange the prize delivery.
