Got those facewashers (see Sharky's post) today as well as the Animated game box from Uncle Pete's. I just wanted it for the figures (Optimus, Bulkhead, Prowl, and Bumblebee).

For anyone that is interested, Uncle Pete's still had heaps of the HA toys left for $29. There was also some ROTF Bludgeon's as well for the same price.

My first purchase of the year (and for the final few months of last year as well!)
Bit of an old one, but have been ummm'ing and arrr'ing over him for a while, and needed a fix of plastic since Highbrow's arrival seems to be taking forever... (or is that just me?)
Pretty happy with him (Tomahawk, not Highbrow) - its quite a good mold, and I especially love the extended axe arm thing. Very cool.
Missiles need to be chopped and hip joints need clear nail polish.

Interesting note - Cybertron Mode Prime, Megatron and Bumblebee come with tech spec cards (or similar) - have been shown in reviews. The toys from Japan had these cards while the order from Robot Kingdom didn't. It made deciding what version to open (along with the very bad paint apps and errors on each version) very very hard.

Hmm... the paint apps for my United Soundwave is damn well done all round.

I just received a TFCC Punch and some painted kabaya sets - Dreadwind, Darkwing and Chromedome.

Now have to decide whether to display Dreadwind and Darkwing with my Dreadwind/Darkwing display or with my Overlord base display...

Nice painted stuff. Overlord base display I say!

Has anyone else brought from RK?? Maybe the tech spec cards are hidden from view when sealed... Like a variant packaging, why would they do this....this is really disturbing.....:eek:

This is to be expected. The toys may be made of better quality materials but the QC is equally as bad since they are likely coming from the same factory as the Hasbro releases. We saw that with Henkei.

I ended up seeing - FINALLY- RTS (rub the sign:p) Goldbug, Prime , Megatron and non painted head Starscream -Woolies - which is $2 :(more than TRU price. Ah well....

I should have mentioned this last week. Got Generations Darkmount on Thursday. This is an absolutely insane toy, from the upside-down-for-a-tank-transformer transformation to how perfectly it gets the look of Straxus without too big a concession to the need for an actual alt mode.

man thats painfull to hear..... $89? a few months ago? even the KO is out of stock. Been a TFormer fan since i was a kid but I had managed to not buy the toys now that im all grown up...... generations finally broke my resistance and ive been spending like crazy since. Just CHUG's and relevant RTS but im also branching into 3rd party shortly..... knowhere has City Commander(or Shadow) cept ebay at like $200+

also really want munitioner/explorer since Swindle and Bruticus in general are some of my fav cons.

just ordered protector/sidearm and im thinking the Perfect effect Rumble/Frenzy Eject/Rewind sets will be next.

HA! my Magnus/Skywarp cost me $104+24 MISB of ebay, got here just after new years.

checked your want list...... yahobby.com has the ratbat/springer box at $34.99 i got mine from them along with some other classics/universe figs i was catching up on. Pretty slow order processing and postage but i got it eventually.

i placed a 2nd order with them nearly 2 weeks ago and as far as i can tell it hasnt left yet...... sigh.

Also scored a second Megatron and Prime so I can open them up and play.

I LOVE this figure!
Normally I'm not the biggest fan of the Japanese Beastwars figures, they're generally fiddly as all hell and my Giant Euro-Australis Hands often have issues with transforming them. :rolleyes::p
I'm very glad to say that this hasn't completely been the case with Magmatron and I dig this figure all the more because of it! ;):cool:

Generations Deluxes for $25 instead of $30. I've seen Skullgrin around for ages, but always at $30 - but this week I saw him marked down to $25 so I grabbed him. They also had Cliffjumper, Dirge and Blurr... basically any Generations Deluxe you can find at a Kmart should be on sale for $25. Now I don't know if Melbourne Kmarts are necessarily having this sale - I've only seen this in 3 Sydney Kmarts.

Out of Longrack, Mach Kick, Break and Magmatron, Magmatron is by far my favourite mainly because of how much less frustration I've had transforming him compared to the others, Longrack is probably the next easiest figure. ;):)

Oops... let me clarify: up till recently I only ever saw Skullgrin and Cliffjumper at TRU who sell them for $30. I was excited to see them now at Kmart at the cheaper price of $25, so it feels like a discount to me. ;) Although Kmart do sell Deluxes at the full RRP of $30 too, but you're right, they've been selling Deluxes at $25 for quite some time now. Sorry for the confoozlements.

So you know for sure that your Magmatron is the Takara version and not the Hasbro version? Cos they're both nearly indistinguishable from each other loose - the best way to tell is from the box. There are some differences with the toys (as noted here (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Magmatron#Beast_Machines)), but in real life they're so slight that it's really, really, really hard to tell even when you're staring at both versions side by side! I nearly went cross-eyed once trying to spot the difference with a side-by-side comparison once. (@_@)

That's pretty cool man, whilst it may be very small - you've still made a legitimate impact on the cannon of Transformers, congratulations dude! :D

I like to think of him as a remnant, or prototype, Decepticon experiment with Tricon technology, ala Duocon - A vein attempt of trying to obtain 3x the General they originally had. ;):D
(The Hurstiverse involves quite a bit of experimentation :p)

How do I know that he's Neo and not Machines?
Well in honesty I don't categorically know but looking at the stamp on the tail of Skysaur, it was really very hard but I couldn't see Hasbro written - I could only make out Takara (x2) and the year 1999, but then my eyesight isn't the greatest so Hasbro could very well be written there. :o

The copyright stampage is the same on both Hasbro and Takara versions. Back in 2000 I compared my Takara verison with someone else's Hasbro version side by side and it was really hard to see any differences between the two. But apparently, "missiles and sword "rounded off" to better conform with United States safety laws and has a less "glossy" sheen"

The box is the best way to tell. If you got your Magmatron loose w/o the box then it's pretty hard to tell. If you're really curious to know, lemme know and I'll bring my Takara Magmatron to the next meet and we can compare it with yours. :)

Well, he indeed is loose but is in exceptional condition so he does look 'glossy' to me and comparing his missiles to the 'quoted as Neo' pics here (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/toys/beast-wars-neo/magmatron/102/) on Seibertron.com, I'm assuming he's the Neo version. :o

At the end of the day I'm not too fussed really whether he is Hasbro or Takara because he's an awesome figure and clearly belongs in the Japanese Beast Wars continuity as opposed to the U.S. Beast Machines continuity - Of which he is apparently a Maximal!?! :confused::confused::confused:
I might bring him up to the fair, pending confirmation, for the hell of it so if you want to bring yours Goki, that'd be appreciated all the same dude. ;):)

haha... yea, I have been quiet on the boards in terms of acquisitions. I actually get one or a couple of toys every 2-3 days, but many of them are the newer releases so I didn't take the extra effort to photograph them until I have a bunch on the table.

I actually also acquired the entire United Wave 1 (and 2?) - about 10 figures in any case, but not photographed them. Also have Generations Grapple MISB (not the loose ones floating online), but not photographed either.

BTW, don't you guys think it strange the almost immediately on release, there are loose Grapples floating around online? I see so many loose ones in HK, in the same week as the boxed version is released - like there will be 5 loose ones in one shop alone selling for HK$120 when the boxed version is selling for HK$300 in the same shop.

"Why wouldnt the shop owner keep the darn things in the box and sell it for twice rather than open it up and sell it for half the price?"

Bugged me to hell. I got to the bottom of it and apparently the loose ones you see, especially so soon as to be almost hand in hand with the actual release, are pieces that have been stolen from the factory before they could be packed. That's all hearsay, but it does sound plausible.

So from my perspective, I won't buy these loose ones, which really, are all over HK. Don't want to support dodgy practices.

i got one of those loose grapples from Yahobby.com. I assumed it was simply a demo fig when ordering it(@$25USD) but at the time i had only been collecting tformer toys for a few weeks, so was a noob.

by the time it arrived i was a bit more switched on and when unpacking the box(there was a few other items in this order as well) i had little doubt that he were stolen from the factory...... for starters he has no stickers..... which might not have been that noticable if it werent for the fact that the line of toys hes in's whole gimmick is the stickers!!!!!

Cool toy though. My first exposure to the mold. Just won an auction for the Botcon Pyro repaint(@$47au) and am considering getting Inferno..... mostly cause his pal red alert looks lonely..... but i can wait for a cheap loose one to pop up on the bay of e.

Course i musnt have very high toy buying morals since i placed a second order with yahobby.com which includes a $17 loose bonzai-tron...... oh well sue me.

It doesn't pop up for sale very often - there's only one listed on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Hybrid-Style-GALAXY-CONVOY-THS-01-MISB-/170590184494?pt=AU_Action_Figures&hash=item27b7f7a42e#ht_600wt_932) atm.

Having said that though, it's not everyone's cup of tea since it's a lot of money to pay for something that's Scout-sized (albeit it's partially die-cast with loads of articulation and included accessories) - I got it for the sheer novelty/collector value. :p

Finally found and bought Genderations Thunderwing today.
And picked up from the post office at the same time - SDCC Mighty Muggs Prowl (completes the collection), IDWs TFs Nefarious TPB, Devils Due TFs Vs GIJoe Vol 3 & 4 (never managed to find, buy and read them yet), and Classic GIJoe Vol 6,7,8,10 (Vol 9 is still in transit, but was able to catch up all in one hit).

I'm really amazed at how the Classic GIJoe comics are selling out so quickly, and going up in price at remaining sources. IDW must have really underestimated the demand on them, based on their sales of Vol 1-5 (which had less demand due to already being released by Marvel 7 years before IDW's printing). Very addictive though, as I was just wanting a quick flick through Vol 10 and ended up reading half of it.

From my contact in Japan - I got a United Megatron (since I am not a box person, I get him to ship without the box to save postage!) and 2 sets of the Japanese Targetmasters - although I have to trade a haywire back since my contact was unable to fulfil all orders. I dont really want to but I am getting 2 United figures for it and he thinks he can get me Minerva/Minelba - my final holy grail - so worthwhile helping him out.

Also got a classics Darkwing to finish my dreadwind/darkwing display

Just received my copy of Classic Transformers Volume 2 from eBay.
Very happy as I've been trying to get this for the last couple of months but couldn't find it for a reasonable price (cheapest second hand copy on Amazon is nearly $150, New is a whopping $900.99 :eek:) but I managed to get it for $30 with free shipping. :D

I think these figure in good nick will cost a lot more than, as people who have them know. They are also incredibly difficult to track down (ie non yellowed GS n minelba). GS MIB in good condition can cost approx $500-600AUD, minelba MIB approx $1200-1500AUD, carb MIB, maybe appro $120AUD....

Picked up Generations Cliffjumper and Skullgrin :)

I like the look of Cliffjumper's head sculpt, he's finally given justice instead of the typical Bumblebee repainted head :)

Havn't had the chance to open up Skullgrin yet, so have yet to judge how this version of the Darkmount mold turns out.

Cheers mate.... can't speak for others, but for myself, I've been on a vengeance since renewing my interest in collecting.

Afterall, a whole load of TFs still work out cheaper than intercoolers, turbos, intakes, exhausts or any other singular part for either of my cars. :D

No where near mate... it's about a scout size figure albeit partially die-cast.

Seeing as this will be remaining MISB (so I won't be doing a side by side height comparison pic)... here's the next best thing for you to get an idea how tiny he is (vs a deluxe Universe Starscream):

I just received:

Heroes of Cybertron
Challenge at Cybertron

Plan is to have classics with the Fansproject in vehicle mode, Henkei with Fansproject in robot mode, Heroes Cybertron in vehicle mode, Challenge Rodimus in robot mode in my display.

Also got an extra Grand Maximus Cog so I can display them in vehicle mode.

And my second Blue Bacchus was incomplete and Black Shadow was a bit dodgy - so I ended up picking a nice set off TFW2005. The Blue Bacchus had unapplied stickers as well. The pic just shows the latest Blue Bacchus and Black Shadow in vehicle with the older ones in the back in pretender mode (i.e. the inner robot is inside the pretender shell).

Yes i have 3. I have the other set displayed with my Overlord base. I tend to get most rare transformers in at least 2s so I can display in each mode. I have 3 overlords (base, robot and vehicle modes) and for buster and hydra, i will be getting a third pair - so I can display planes, robot and darkwings.

I have 3 display cabinets but am particular with what I collect so I dont collect everything (i.e. not planning to get Victory Leo, Star Saber, Deathsaurus etc.). I am not a MIB or MISB collector but have a few (MISB ARtfire and MISB ehobby Astrotrain) so that saves me space. The cabinets I got from IKEA - they have glass doors and adjustable shelving.

I've got to say, I initially thought very little of a Transformer that turned into a Rabbit/Hare - So after giving Stampy 4 years worth of consideration, I decided to pick him up and I'm glad I did as he's actually a pretty cool little figure really. ;):)

The 2011 OTCA Transformers Calendar is absolutely awesome! :D:D:D

I got them from a video game store in the UK - quite dearer than the price that Gametraders is selling them for - however, these are MISB with the external box whereas the one's available at GT are sold loose in their baggies (from what I gather).

Received my Ozformers calendar this morning and am generally happy with how it worked out.

Also my Robotkingdom order came in. You know, the same order that everyone else has been doing. :)

RTS Prime, Wreck-Gar, Perceptor, Bumblebee and Generations Thunderwing, Cliffjumper, Kup and Scourge. (Guess which three I'm thinking I wont keep)

On the downside the Generations figures are foreign market versions and have huge warning(?) labels stuck on the back of the card obscuring most of the box photos

On the upside, they threw in some Hunt for the Decepticon goodies. A folder, a lanyard, Cyber Missions CD-ROM, a Cardboard Animated(!) Optimus Prime to build, and a little catalgoue booklet that I am really happy with. It features all the HTFD toys from Deluxe size up, the first few Generations waves and the first PCC wave. I wish Hasbro gave fans/collectors this sort of booklet in each series.
