One of the (several) bridging/prequel comics called, 'Rising Storm' - the cover of issue 2 has been found, showing Bumblebee vs Barricade (http://www.archonia.com/comicshop/en/article/92184/transformers+rising+storm+%232+%28of+4%29/).

It seems that the Movie writers/director no longer have any interest in the loose end that is Barricade, and IDW are milking it as much as possible. I think this is his 3rd or 4th appearance in 'extended universe' movie comics now.
A bit like the UK Gen1 comic stories, which would have certain characters running around at the same time as the US comic, but somehow stay out of sight during those US issues (like the time-travelling Galvatron).
