Sounds like a lot of FUD. IPv6 will do just fine.

Organics!
Seriously though, there is far too much money to be made from the internet, so someone will come up with something.
I think we have more to worry abut in the reliance on fossilised fuels.
Think about it, we do so much on dinosaurs and dead forests.

What was that scene from Scrubs? Doctor Cox saying something like, if they got rid of all the porn sites, there'd only be one site left, saying 'bring back the porn'. :p
I loved that show... well, the first 2 seasons at least.

The first 3-4 seasons were the show's best, before it became a live-action Family guy wannabe that got those audiences that liked it for the wrong reasons.
With the ISPs, they'll probably just start up the v6 thing when they HAVE to do it and if no device can access both the v6 or the v4, I'm sure the computer industry wouldn't mind making customers buy two devices to access both systems. It's a win-win for everyone (maybe not so much for the customers!)

What a thoroughly stupid, ill-informed and scaremongering headline!?! :eek::mad:
Put simply:
IPv4 = 2 to the power of 32 (4,294,967,296) possible addresses
IPv6 = 2 to the power of 128 (340,282,366,920,938,463,463,374,607,431,768,211,4 56) possible addresses
(Minus some reserved addresses ;))
So, with IPv6, certain restricted addresses and the implementation of such technologies as NAT (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NAT) (Not to mention IPv4 and v6 working in tandem :rolleyes:) We have absolutely nothing to worry about whatsoever. ;)
I suppose you've got to attract people to a crappy article somehow... :rolleyes:
