The latest assortment of Transformers United toys - consisted of Autobot Jazz, Autobot Tracks, Autobot Grapple and glorious Lugnut - has been released at Japanese retail! 2005 Boards Masabon has picked up some of the new releases and has shared some great in hand images of Jazz and Tracks with us. Be sure to check out the gorgeous shiny blue paint finish on Tracks - he has never looked sharper!

Might be an option for those that have missed out on Wave 1 of the RTS releases.

Very annoyed at Takara for leaving out the chrome on Grapple, but Jazz and Tracks are just AMAZING. I think I will need to get a few more in just to suround myself in their goodness.

Pretty sure chrome is missing on all of United. We seem to be getting metallic paint instead.

Yeah, but Grapple's marketing pictures and even his box show chrome and was one of the selling points over the Hasbro version. I dont care about the head colour and the Hasbro version has extra paint apps in robot mode while the Takara has extra in vehicle

Missed out? I haven't even seen these toys anywhere in stores yet!

It looks like we might have skipped Wave 1 here in Oz, so yeah, 'missed out'

Out in both Singapore and Hong Kong. Singapore almost sold out of Lugnet, plenty of Tracks/Jazz/Grapple around.
After seeing them - they look awesome! Superior compared to Hasbro products.

Whaaaaaaa?!?? I thought someone bought Jazz locally... :/

Anyway, I just emailed Hasbro Australia to see if they can confirm or deny this rumour... it'd also be great if someone could give them a call tomorrow during business hours (9am-5pm AEDST). I'll try _if_ I can find the time, but just in case I can't, here's their number: 1-300-138-697

Thank you.

Called. Left message yesterday. Still no reply.

Interestingly I emailed them and got a return receipt that it was read by someone in China?!

Cant believe United Jazz sold out at Robotkingdom, HLJ and AmiAmi so fast. Angolz doesn't even have it listed. I really wasn't expecting the figure to be so popular! Hopefully we see some restocks soon :)

Here's the response I got from Hasbro re. Turbo Tracks and Jazz. They didn't even address my question specifically. And the website link they provided is for Star Wars! :p I guess, I'm just a small little consumer that isn't of any consequence.

Hi

At Hasbro Australia we endeavour to take most of the line that Hasbro USA are offering. For our mainline non-exclusive product lines we will generally take 95% of what the US offer however it must be noted that this level can fluctuate given that Australian retailers may not wish to range certain products due to circumstances out of our control.

We also take the majority of US retail exclusive items (dependant on what our retail customers choose to range). We aim to keep our collector customers happy and given that our market size does not justify the production runs required to produce ‘exclusive’ product we do our best to secure all the stock that we can.

In terms of providing timelines for product releases in Australia, this is a somewhat difficult process for a couple of reasons; firstly we cannot guarantee the dates that shipments will arrive into Australian retailers due to factors like production and freight issues. Secondly, we cannot guarantee when Australian retailers will actually put product on shelf as this is their internal business decision.

Of course we attempt to work as closely as possible with the retailers to execute in store product launches and promotion and we can certainly provide a release date for the launch of a new brand, However as a business, providing a constant update on specific dates for individual characters and products is not a realistic or achievable goal.

Just try eBay dude. That's where I ordered mine from and it was cheaper than RK and after they sold out.

...what a generic response. (-_-) I might have to ping one of my overseas contacts and see if someone can help. :(

Got another reply from Hasbro. This time they gave me a link to none other then this forum! They even gave me the specific link to this (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=9241) stating that Tracks and Jazz were released in mid november last year at Big W...

I gotta say whilst its a huge compliment to these forums, it doesn't exactly look good for Hasbro that they get info for there own toys from a 3rd party site.

The form letter response seems quite normal. I have no memory of anyone reporting a sighting of that wave locally at Big W though...? .

And also that they can't read a simple checklist, since the link states that Tracks and Jazz were "Released globally, but not yet found here (if to be released here at all)."

Spot on Sky Shadow! That's the real point - the fact that they say it's been released, when clearly the link states that it hasn't (let alone the whole fact that they're pointing us back to Ozformers).

Way to go HA

Great - thanks Hasbro! Send us to a Star Wars site to get Transformers info! I'm already a member there and the info they give is useless! Just recently Hasbro Aus decided to either "skip" the Vintage SW 2011 line (the Return of the Jedi Wave) or forgot to order it due to "human error" (their quotes). What a stupid mistake that was (And funnily enough it was around the same time that Jazz and Tracks should have arrived - surprise, surprise). Everyone on MD complained, so Hasbro was forced to get the ROTJ wave in almost 2 months later! I guess we could do the same thing here - complain to HA. But to be honest, I'd rather spend my money on the United versions now! Screw them!

Hasbro NZ (a divison of Hasbro AU) will not be bringing in Reveal the Shield or any further Generations assortments to New Zealand. Least AU gets some RtS on the shelf!

They aren't that bad. Now Hasbro UK - those guys are nuts.

edit: So, where would I get United Jazz from? I might as well get him if I have to buy it online.
