Certainly seems the place to say it. Very new collector but long time tf fan. Not really up to speed with anything TF post 2000, and G1 is my nostalgic base.
Was over in Japan recently traveling and while in akihabara came across an MP10 Optimus and fell in love with TF's all over again. Picked him up, carried him home (literally on my lap the flight back so he wouldn't get damaged) and have since engrossed myself in TF toys and communities looking And learning..
I have only just started and have 5 pieces now. I buy what I like, not going for any particular series etc. i leave everything misb which I can't explain it's just how I am. I get a deep sense of pride and perhaps the kid in me cheers at being able to relax and look on the shelf at the pieces I have bought with money I have earned. Having finally reached some financially maturity and making sure the future for the partner and I gets looked after first, my partner promotes that I take a little for something for myself from time to time and so here I am, deliberating over every purchase, YouTube reviews, pictures, forum notes... So that when I pull the trigger (it takes a long time) I am completely satisfied and rewarded when the item is received.
I have a fair guess that some or most of you are similar in some ways ;)
I won't buy much, but what I buy I will love. Really looking forward to being a member in the community. Maybe not every day active, but when I have some down time I will be around, seeing what purchases people are making and hopefully sharing in a positive way some of my own thoughts.
Sorry for the ramble, consider it out of the way and now onto the good stuff :)
MP10 optimus
Takara 2010 cybertron Primus
Asia reissue six shot
MP11s Sunstorm
Mini six shot (3rd party)
That's where I am at.
Desperately wanting a misb takara 2010 unicron to balance the ying I have with a yang, but other than that i will just pick things up here and there. MP13 sound wave will likely be next.
Cheers guys, again apologies for the long post. Hopefully we become familiar faces (so to speak) as time goes on.
