Hasbro's latest financial report
For anyone interested in how the company is going as a whole, the latest financial report from Hasbro has been released, and excerpts have been posted up here.
Overall Hasbro did okay with a 2% growth in revenue while profit grew by 47%. However, the money Hasbro America rakes in from international sales (the commission they make on top of the profit other Hasbro branches makes), is still doing poorly thanks to Europe... which could mean higher prices in non-American countries to bring it back up.
Looking at the breakdown, it shows that the Asia-Pacific region was the best performer out of Europe (-7%), Latin America (+17%) AND North America (+4%), with a 21% increase in earnings. (keep in mind that Asia-Pacific isn't just Australia, it includes Hasbro HK, which has been on the rise in the last 12 months with more and more exclusive items - considering the massive shelfwarming and retailer discounting here in the last 12 months, Australia probably didn't do that good)
Since Europe is the dominant non-American segment (two-thirds of the revenue), their negative growth dragged down their entire international earnings.
