Rescue Bots 2014 toyline rebranding

The 2013 series was given the subtitle of "Energize", and the main toys had translucent parts.
According to BBTS, it looks like the 2014 series will get the subtitle "Rescan"... and if the history of Hasbro has taught us anything, we are likely to see the same toys from 2012 and 2013 released in 2014 with some minor redecoing.

The first ones are due out in December, and said to be Optimus (no surprise there), Bumblebee (ditto), and Heatwave (well, they do need to sell at least one cast character in the first wave :rolleyes:).

Considering that the entire (delayed) second season was said to not introduce any new robot characters (maintaining the four from season one as the cast), this "new" Rescue Bots line should end up on shelves when that second season finally starts airing in America. As such, we shouldn't be expecting too many new characters... if at all. (the Hoist and Medix toys in series one was a surprise, but had a limited release because they aren't in the cartoon, so are now really rare)

A couple of the Rescan toys have surfaced, for 2014 - Optimus and Heatwave, which both appear to have new alt-modes, based on their kibble.

It has been over a year since the first season ended (last episode aired in America in August 2012), and we still haven't seen any promo material either of the second season. So it is unknown if these are even in the cartoon, or if they are just random alt-modes based on existing characters... just to sell toys.

The rest of the first wave have surfaced (Bumblebee - it wouldn't be Rescue Bots if they didn't sell the two iconic characters in the first wave, that aren't even on the show) and their packaging, which shows us a little of their new alt-modes.

Bumblebee is a motorcycle, Optimus is an offroad truck, and Heatwave is a boat.
