TF5 announced for 2016 (EDIT - 2017)

According to several different online articles TF5 has been announced for 2016. Guessing they assumed TF4 is going to make some serious bank :D

I don't think anyone will be remotely surprised by this annoucement, but it's nice to have confirmation :D

More surprised about the release... I thought it was going to be released in 2017 rather than 2016.

Either way :D

Awesome news. Just hope the earlier 2016 release doesn't affect the Masterpiece/generations releases closer to that date.

Yeah, Hasbro made an announcement ages ago they had plans for 2017 but Paramount wants it to be like the last trilogy with only a 2 year gap between each flick

I really hope too see the movie franchise go in a new artistic direction, I ain't getting any younger you know......

Actually it's 2017, the guy from Paramount has corrected his statement.
