Malaysian phone scam

Hey dudes, just a warning that there's a phone scam from Malaysia going around down here. Some woman with broken english from unintelligible company asks to do a survey. I say okay. She asks how would I feel if their company opened up in Australia. I said sure, whatevers.

She thanked me immediately after that and offered to send something and asked for my address. I refused. So she then called my dad, whom I warned, and he just refused to participate.


So the lesson is - Malaysia = JERK, as their former PM Mahathir so often demonstrated.

Haha crazy, I just hang up on all telemarketers/survey people, so no-ones getting my address any time soon :D

I torture unsolicited callers. :)

I read up a bit on Malaysian phone scams before posting, and unfortunately it's a growing illegitimate "business".

And I was joking about the = JERK thing :p

Why dey so like dat-lah?

So what's the actual scam? That they get your address that anyone could get from the phonebook?
