Animated Swoop

I got this toy today and notice that his feet have round pegs on the centre toes. Combine with the fact that the feet also close, does anyone know if there's some other figure that he is supposed to grasp onto?

I think the pegs are there for balancing.

I remember someone saying they fit into some holes on the back of Grimlock.
They also fit into the holes on his weapon

Maybe that's so they can combine into Animated Mega-Dinobot.
