I actually really like MP Tracks. Though I am partial to the character.
At any rate, I think she was overproduced.

That’s it. It’s a very old cliche that female characters don’t sell well in “Boys” Action Figure lines, but it (sadly) has truth to it. So many Siege Chromias shelf warming. Before her (and still in some shops) it was RID Windblade and POTP Moonracer. (And if you look at Marvel a Legends and Star Wars figures you’ll find the female ones always seem to be leftover)
Whats wrong with the tracks MP figure?
HLJ has a 24 hour flash sale, that started about 4 hours ago... so 20 hours left to go.
There's only 26 Transformers items as of this posting, and most are Cyberverse toys.Quote:
• The sale begins March 24th, 2020 at 11AM JST, and ends March 25th, at 11AM JST.
• Our Spring Sale 2020 Flash Sale discounts apply only to in-stock special sale items ordered during the campaign period. Any order handling method is fine.
• Availability of Spring Sale 2020 Flash Sale items' stock is subject to change without notice. An in-stock item in your cart may go out of stock if our last piece was ordered by another customer before you placed your order.
• Items with a stock status of "In Stock: Orders usually filled within (time frame)" are not eligible for sale discounts.
• Refunds or price adjustments are not available for any price differences for items purchased any time prior to or after that item's period as a sale item in the Spring Sale 2020 Flash Sale.
• In the event of unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to end the campaign early.
Just adding to the post above, for anyone who might actually want one of the items on offer, it looks like the prices on the product pages are not being reflected in the shopping cart.
I carted two items, and both had prices in the cart that were higher (one was 18% extra while the other was 25%), and this is before our GST tax is added... because I then carted a non-sale item, and it's price in the cart was the same as the current price on its product page.
So I think that maybe they haven't actually updated their sale prices into the checkout system, and since this is only a 24 hour sale, by the time I get a reply, or it is fixed, it will be too late.
I got a reply, which has them fixing the problem. It must be taking some time, as only one of my two items were now showing up as the sale price in my cart, but I went ahead and completed the purchase, as the more expensive item was the one that was fixed, and I didn't want to wait around re-checking it later.
Looks like MP 51 Arcee is available for pre-order on HLJ. Currently around $192 which I reckon would be around $250 w/ shipping (assuming EMS is going again by December).
HLJ has a special sale on for just this weekend, for Transformers... with almost 100 older stock items discounted (some up to 50%).
MP-52 Transformers Masterpiece Starscream ver 2.0: pre-order ?22,960 JPY (AU$320 at time of writing).
320 plus 32 gst plus postage.
So roughly $400 shipped...ouch
Nice to see colour images of MP-52, though. :)

HLJ's Holiday sale... not sure if any current "sale" items are actually discounted just for this sale, as the main feature of this "sale" is a discount on shipping... but it is not a huge discount, as it is only "up to" 10% off.
Even if you get the full discount, it might not amount to much... but for some, every little saving is a good thing.
Ends December 22nd.
Netflix Soundwave, 4510 Yen. Use code SFD-TFORM for 15% off TF toys until end of Feb 2021. Estimated shipping Airmail Small Packet 1520 Yen (I just got a parcel from them today to Perth - took 2 weeks). Total after GST 5889 Yen (about AUD$75). Only 5 in stock at time of posting.

Haven't purchased from HLJ since march last year. The shipping (plus GST) is too much. If you want a small Masterpiece figure (Lio Convoy for example), the cheapest shipping is via boat, takes 1 to 3 months at around $30. The next available shipping is by DHL for $70. So all up, if you dont want to wait 1 to 3 months, it will cost you $212 for the figure, $70 for the shipping and another $28 gst (because you get taxed on the shipping as well) for a grand total of $311 plus change and paypal fees if you go that route. Its cheaper to go through ebay and get scalped!
Since last November they restarted Airmail Small Packet. This can be more expensive than other overseas shops so I buy things from them (including non-TF stuff) that are at a good price (perhaps with extra discount), or things that I can't get elsewhere reasonably.
They dropped surface mail for a while and now have it again but it is actually more expensive than Airmail Small Packet for small parcels. It might be cheaper for bulky items. Airmail Small Packet usually takes 2 weeks to Perth but is not trackable. I don't use the more expensive options.
HLJ sale until March 25th... has about 80 Transformers items (find the tab for Transformers on the sale page), which will help offset the GST that gets added, and shipping.
Wish that worked with pre-orders. Been eyeing the WFC Nemesis Prime they have on there
That’s just Netflix spoiler box 2.... get from EB/zing
There was a difference for the Japanese one?
Surprisingly, yes. The Takara Ultra Magnus was done in a box very similar to the other Netflix releases.
As seen here:-
https://www.indemandtoys.co.uk/produ...-ultra-magnus/
I think it has to do with these being the general release items in Japan so there's more incentive to show it off?

For those who have bought from HLJ before, on average how long is surface shipping to Australia? Their website says 4-7 months.
I've used it three times in the last year. First time was around three weeks, second and third were around ten weeks each.
I used HLJ surface mail multiple times throughout last year. Took 3 months pretty much each time. Last one I had was sent out at the end of December and I received it in March. They do give you a tracking number.
Thanks for the replies. I do have a tracking number but there's been radio silence after early March. Guess I'll have to be patient.
I've just checked on a shipment I had coming via surface from HLJ
Dispatched from Japan - March 5
Arrived in Australia - April 27
Might be worth checking in on yours to see if it was the same shipment or similar.
