Is that a younger version of guts?

I'd only call it bad if they released him in him as a boy prior to becoming a mercenary on his own. The 'band of the hawk' version is essential as is the 'black swordsman' and the 'berserker' armor form.

the only question is are they going to release support characters?

Well they released Griffith a while ago. Caska would be easy enough, coz she's a girl :p.

Zod would be cool, but tricky to pull off methinks

well they're releasing a larger sized figure - Hulk, so it shouldn't be hard to do Zodd and also, he has a human form as well as his demon form.
