QLD Transformers Sightings.

Garden City Kmart December 31st.... not a single Transformers toy anywhere. Not even the most insignificant shelfwarmer. The entire toy section looked like a store that was closing down and selling off all existing stock (reminded me of the TRU store closing down).

And at BigW, they have only restocked the Studio Series Leader class, but two waves ago - wave 4 from 2019, which has Shockwave & Scavenger.
Scavenger showed up in Australia with Overload in September 2020 (wave 5 - the only Leader class wave for 2020), but Shockwave has only just been showing up in Australia in December 2020.
With the release of Studio Series Leader class in Australia being unreliable and sporadic (and often years after they were released globally), I'm wondering if we will see wave 6 Grimlock/Wheelie at any of the major retailers during 2021 at all. (probably the most reliable option is if you pre-ordered it from somewhere like Amazon or EB Games, as they are more likely to get the stock if Hasbro has promised it to them)

Back at BigW today, and they haven't had anything new put out since Thursday 31st. Apparently they have the Voyager SS86 toys out the back (16 units), but can't put them out until their regular toy staffer is on Monday to add them to the system.
Even though they have the product range of "Voyager Studio Series" in the system, they don't have the new barcodes of the two new products (Scourge & Hotrod) in the system yet, so if they do sell them now, it won't be reflected on the inventory (people will look on the website and think that there is stock at a store that has already sold out... or the store thinks it is a high theft item and not order more).

(I didn't bother checking Kmart today.)

Oooh, hopefully I can pick up a Shockwave on Tuesday when I'm there. As much as I'd like to get the Voyagers for $29, I'll keep my $45 Kmart layby ones and leave the Big W ones for other people.

For those looking for SS86 deluxe's, you can find a stack of them at Big W North Lakes. I did a quick count as I ran past, but didn't go through every box (They have a massive end display of them). Sadly no Voyagers found or on display. This has been up for a few days, still plenty of stock.

7+ Jazz
4+ Cup

Kmart North Lakes had basically nothing.. 3 to 4 smaller Cyberverse figures and 4x Netflix Ultra Magnus.

Big W Mt Ommaney had no stock.. They sold out all their SS86 voyages the same day they went to put them out. Can confirm it looks like they sold their SS Leader Class Shockwaves, I had them in hand as they were putting them up yesterday, but sadly none on the shelf today. Still had 4x SS Overload/Scavenger each on display.

Big W Springfield after previous sightings has nothing, but did have 1x Soundwave Scout pack left after I took one.

Big W Booval had 2x SS86 Hot Rod left when I was there two days ago.

Note: All stores had previous Seige figures in stock, but only Megatron/Thundercracker... And insane amounts of them. Big W Mt Ommaney did have 1x Siege Crosshairs, but its head has fallen off. On closer inspection it looks like the screw is missing from it.

I thought my local K-Mart was bad, but at least they went to the effort the other day of cleaning up the TF section. It still has holes, but at least it no longer looks like everything's just been thrown around.

Lots of ss86 deluxe in big W Gympie. No voyagers tho...

BigW at Pacific fair still has lots of Kup, Blurr, Jazz and Hot Rod SS86. No sign of any restocking at ANY Kmart for Netflix, still looking for Soundwave....

I never even saw the Netflix Soundwave (or Optimus) in person... and I imagine that they all disappeared by christmas.

Today at Sunnybank Kmart... almost 2 weeks after christmas and it is still looking empty. Maybe Kmart has run out of Transformers at their warehouses?

Went to Sunnybank Kmart earlier today. Basically no change.

At Garden City Big W, there's 4 SS Scavenger after I took the last Shockwave plus 4 SS86 Hot Rod. Says 'Item not Found' when I scanned it through price check. Very tempted to try and get it for $29 but I can't be bothered having to cancel/return my Kmart one in layby.

Kmart Garden City has no Transformers that I can find.

Also just realised I've yet to see any SS86 Deluxe.

Checking out BigW Kuraby/Springwood... no Studio Series or Earthrise Deluxe in stock (they did have two Sky Lynxes).
They just had a delivery today, but no Transformers toys were on it.

It's a small, fairly quiet store... so I hardly go there, and I'm always expecting it to close down (probably in the next wave of closures). It's in a good spot for traffic and exposure, but the shopping centre just feels run down and low class... there's a lot of empty or temporary stores at the moment.
I used to go there a lot when I was working in the Springwood area about 15 years ago... and bought most of my Armada & Energon toys from there.

I was fully prepared for it to close last time since they kept saying it'd lose out to the bigger Calamvale and Garden City stores but somehow it's stuck around.

Completely agree. As tiny as it was, closing EB probably reduced traffic somewhat.

From what my dad and some family friends have said, it is very likely to be closing up soon. There's some kind of plans for the entire centre.

After the Kuraby BigW store recommended the Carindale store for Studio Series Deluxe, I headed over there today... to find nothing. The system said there should be about 10 units, but their toy person said he hasn't seen anything new come in in the last week, so would have to delete the stock from their system so that the website doesn't tease anyone else into thinking that they have some.
They still had a heap of the Siege Voyager Megatrons and Thundercrackers, in another aisle... and pretty much the same things as other BigW stores...

Went back to Big W Northlakes. Said they had stock of SS voyagers. Nothing on the shelves so asked them to check, and two staff looked and couldn't find any even though their system said they had 11. Guess another case of SS86 stock not scanning and the system being out. The end display of SS86 deluxes are gone as they are nearly sold out, 11x Blurr and 4x Jazz is all that's left. SS Leader they only have 4x Scavenger.

Kmart Cannon Hill did have a fair few Netflix Voyages and Deluxes last week. It says they still have plenty of Delxues, but low stock on voyagers. Guess the Primes might be gone. Call before going in, this pic is about a week old.

I have done the rounds of Orion, Garden City, and Carindale repeatedly over the last few weeks and the shelves have remained consistently bare. Startlingly bare in some cases. Target Buranda has only had a few Quints for months with no sign of a restock.

I am less worried about the Deluxe SS86s. Deluxe SS has been common as dirt this year. There is a good chance the Voyagers are done unless Big W and Target get a release. Grimlock will show up in 2024 😀.

I am still curious about the Earthrise Wave 3 that showed up down south by accident before Christmas. That is interesting and probably means Kingdom is after Easter.

Nope, everything else was pretty much old stuff unfortunately. Oh, they had the new (to us) SS leaders.

Went to Garden City today and saw nothing new or even that interesting. Went to Kmart, Big W, Myer and Target. Kmart still has 0 Transformers but at least has more toys than a few weeks ago.

Caloundra is out of your stomping grounds, I think, but they had a couple of Netflix Optimuses when I was in there on the weekend. Almost everything else cleared out, aside from cassettes down opposite the far wall. I'd like to get another set of each to open, since I can't bring myself to open the ones I have for some reason, but not paying $80 for them both :P

Big W has the SS86 Voyagers for the first time. No Deluxes.
Kmart is threadbare. Something must be going on in the background.

Big W Sunshine Plaza has plenty (3+ each) of the SS86 Voyagers. And 1-2 each deluxe. Nothing else of note.

Myer has ER W2 Deluxes and quite a few Snapdragons. They’re finally nearly sold out of the copious amounts of W1 they had for so long.

Just found, and bought, ONE Kingdom Optimus Primal at Mr Toys Toyworld Queen Street Mall.
No other Kingdom figures there, so now there's none. But they are out there.
Also seemed to have a restock of ER Deluxe wave 3 figures.

Edit: Except SS86 Voyagers in Carindale Big W but someone already mentioned that.

Someone on TCCA QLD page has posted that they found Kingdom Megatron, Prime, Primal and Cyclonus at Browns Plains ToyWorld.....:eek:

Just checked Orion. Nothing new. Not even at Toy World.

I found the little Kingdom guys (core? maybe 4-5 left, Optimus and Palotrex or whatever, and Rattrap, but the bone thing and Rattrap I picked up) and Kingdom leader Optimus Prime (2 left) at Mr Toys Morayfield this afternoon. They also had at least one Megatron and Optimus Primal on hold for someone and I was told the store had otherwise been cleaned out of stock and they didn't know when they were getting more. Yay.

No Kingdom figures at Mr Toys Toyworld Burleigh.

Pacific Fair Big W still has two of each Studio Series 86 Deluxe after I grabbed a set, and plenty of Cyberverse Grimlock and Arcee restocked.

Downstairs Kmart has a full assortment of Arcee, Thunderhowl, Rodimus Megatron and Shockwave. So between the two stores you could score the full set of 6

Um... 8 in the set, with Optimus and Bumblebee. They were re-released in the later waves, but might be the first to be bought by regular shoppers.

Picked up Kingdom Optimus Primal at mr toys Rothwell today! Absolutely FANTASTIC addition. They also had Rattrap and skele-boi (I didn?t care to remember his name sorry) along with Optimus Prime. No Megatron or deluxes sorry. Although if he were there I would?ve definitely picked Barney up. He looks great from what I?ve seen. Probs gonna go back for Rattrap, he?s ADORABLE!

It's to do with with how the board reads certain characters (or can't read them)... even though it is set to be able to read all english keyboard characters, so it seems to be a glitch that I can't fix.

If anyone is looking for G1 reissue Soundwave and Buzzsaw, there were two at Kmart Redbank yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately the top flap has been folded down for the security wire to go around them.

Yeah... sorry about that. I might have gotten the only Megatron and Cyclonus they had in. They did say they don't think they got the Deluxes in. Of note there is 2x Primals and 1x Cyclonus to a box.

Hadn't had time to post yet, busy weekend..

Just stopped in at Mr Toys Jindalee on the way to work. They have all the kingdom instock in boxes on the floor but they said they believe they are all taken up by customer orders. They said the core/deluxe may have some left over but have to confirm tomorrow. Call before heading in.

Robina Toymate didn?t have any Kingdom on shelf, and the staff couldn?t be bothered to look up the sku and check whether it had yet to be put out. Given I appeared to be the only customer in the store seemed pretty lazy. Your mileage may vary though.

The sku from Toymates website for Kingdom is 21000644 for the big monkey and purple dinosaur
