According to the 2016 LEGO catalogue (January-May), the Marvel sets were slated for a March retail release in Australia. I believe the LEGO online store ships from overseas, hence availability well before Australian retail release.

Overseas hey, well that might explain why if I wanted to get those two sets back in December it would have cost me $35 for shipping, that seemed really steep to me for a couple of Lego sets.

Yup, pricing error. Might try my luck at my local later today but from what I hear, it's the sign on the store outside which has the non-Lego batmobile at $45 and no price for 76046. Believe most stores have ripped this ad off the window but if you do see it snap a pic and see how it goes :)
