A positive start... I like that :p
That he is a dick? ;)
Seriously though, I would seriously try to question him on the diving quality while the price has increased (price increase was 'sold' to customers as a reason to add not cut), poor customer service and odd long waiting time for International customers.
Character selection is also questionable and if he sees MOTUC as an avenue to promote himself rather than the brand.
Anyone who wants a Classics He-Man and Battle Cat for less than $60 shipped should go here, today only.
Some pics from NYCC 2012... Crappy iPhone pics! :)

Castle Grayskull is up for pre-order: http://www.mattycollector.com/store/...ctID.258165100 does anyone trust Matty enough to get one though?
Castle Grayskull®
Masters of the Universe® Classics
$250.00
Minimum order quantity: 1
Maximum order quantity: 10
Qty Coming Soon
Pre-order Starts: October 16, 2012 9 a.m. PT
Pre-order Ends: January 3, 2013 11:59 p.m. PT
Standing solitary in the desolate lands of Eternia®, the legendary Castle Grayskull® offers sanctuary for He-Man® and those who stand for all that is good. An essential component in the original Masters of the Universe® toy line, this long-awaited icon is finally available for pre-order. Whether you’re a dedicated fan of the original series or new to the Classics line, no collection will truly be complete without Castle Grayskull®!
Our all-new Castle Grayskull® playset is slated for a late 2013 release. Because it’s still in its very earliest stage, the final design is subject (and likely) to change. Why are we offering it for pre-order now and asking you to make a commitment when the design hasn’t been finalized? Because the production cycle for an item like this takes over a year and is extremely costly. If we don’t reach the minimum pre-order goal, we can’t go forward.
So, here’s everything we can tell you at this time. Please read carefully before you make your purchase – if we reach our production goal during the pre-order period, there will be no refunds or exchanges when the product is released.
Product Features
It’s Castle Grayskull®!
Ideally, the set will include everything shown in the “B sheet” product drawings to the left, but please remember these are working drawings and aren’t final yet.
If produced, this will be the largest, most ambitious MOTUC item ever made – the dimensions are expected to be somewhere around 25”h x 26”w x 28”d (subject to change).
The overall sculpt will be based on the original 1981 prototype, with the addition of an extra battle ledge, elongated jaw/face, a removable minaret on top of the dome and more!
Just like the vintage toy, it will be a two-sided foldout but there will be three levels to show off your MOTUC figures (in scale with most of our 6.5” figures). The vintage set only had two levels, but we’ve added another across the top for maximum display options.
Two secret doors – the first, a traditional door that opens out the back, and the second one, a secret brick wall that exits to the outside ledge.
Trap door leading to the dungeon (of course) that has an opening door, plus “locks” and chains to hold one figure.
Throne fits most 6.5” MOTUC figures – who will rule your Castle Grayskull®?
Bat wing jet pack and training device were both cut from the vintage prototype and finally get a chance at production!
Working elevator like the ‘81 prototype had, but we’ve added back the red skull on top that was cut. The elevator goes to all three levels, not just two levels like vintage toy.
Real opening Jawbridge just like you remember, only cooler!
Have Wind Raider? The playset will include an attachment so you can be ready for air-battle at a moment’s notice (and create a complete diorama).
Secret Orb room is hidden inside the dome.
Removable ladder to the roof leads to a blaster and the flag of Castle Grayskull®.
Carrying handle is optional for easy transport or clean display.
Did we mention… it’s Castle Grayskull®!
Ordering Information
Castle Grayskull® will only be produced if the minimum production goal is reached during the pre-order period.
If production goes forward, everyone who pre-orders is guaranteed to receive a playset. Some sets will be available on MattyCollector.com after pre-orders are fulfilled, but the price will be significantly higher and you won’t be guaranteed to get one. If you want one, a pre-order is the best way to ensure you get it.
When you place your order, the card you used will be “pre-authorized” for a zero dollar amount. This pre-authorization simply verifies that the card is valid. You will NOT be charged until the item ships, at which time you’ll be billed for the product, shipping costs, and any taxes/fees.
Please note that because this item is so large, shipping charges will be substantially higher than items we normally sell.
This item is scheduled for late 2013 shipment. We’ll send an email reminder about a month before the product is scheduled to ship. If you need to change your address or credit card information at that time, you’ll have plenty of notice.
If this item reaches the pre-order goal, there will be NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES, even if the design or features change. If you place a pre-order, you are committed to the purchase and will be billed when the item ships.
Should we not reach the minimum pre-order goal, your order will simply be canceled (because there’s no charge until it ships, there’s no refund needed).
One last thing… because this is a work-in-progress, features may be added or subtracted from the proposed design, but we can’t confirm anything now. We’re seriously as excited as you are by the prospect of finally having a Castle Grayskull® playset and Mattel will do everything to ensure we can deliver as much value as possible!
How much would shipping be for Castle Grayskull from Matty?
I don't Care. Castle Friggin' Grayskull. it's gonna be mine.
I used to watch a lot of MOTU as a kid, as well as Thundercats and transformers. Pretty much all I knew was He-Man himself and Skeletor. Wish I knew more.
Lol, you'd think they'd have a confirmed design for Greyskull before putting it up for order... At least have a final design on paper/computer ( ?), as opposed to declaring "It may change."
I'd love to see on in the plastic though! It'd be impressive!!
Shipping on Castle Grayskull brings it up to $357.35US untracked or $371.05US tracked. So it's basically same price as an Encore Fortress Maximus. Ouch.
I was a little concerned about postage price... I know my Mr Stay Puft cost almost as much as the figure itself in postage... If CG, at $250, costs another $100-150 it will really hurt sales.
They should have stuck with their original price of $200... Just should've made it work somehow! A $300-400 CG is gonna be hard to sell. And if people don't pre-order, it won't get done...
Scott's relying on as many orders as the last Sub numbers.... That won't happen - one guy on the Org bought a Sub for every customer that bought one (capped at 30)... So, is he gonna buy 30 CGs at $250+???? Without postage, that's already $7,500 from one customer
Or is Scott hoping casual "new" buyers will just magically appear? I thought he didn't want or value Cherry Pickers anymore?! They've made it impossible for casual buyers to join and support the line, but now it looks like they may be relying on them for CG.
Yet another mess!
There's no possible way everyone with a sub is going to buy a CG. They are fooling themselves if they think otherwise and if that is true, whoever set that limit should be fired immediately.
Unless the numbers are set up to fail. So for example, later on they can say "Hey, we tried to produce CG, but the support wasn't there so stop whingeing."
Which normally I would immediately ignore, but seeing how they pushed the recent subscription 'offer,' I wouldn't put it past them.
I seriously hope that this thing happens for those of you who want what "Promises" to be all that it says it will; It's be a major landmark in "Fandom Disappointment" if it ends up getting shelved at the last minute. :o
So how many subs did they end up pushing for next year?
Well, it was Scott who said it in one of his recent videos! ;)
I find myself thinking more and more like this too with every "incident" lately. Either way, I can guarantee you one thing... The thermometer will not go above the minimum required point before the cut off date. Matty and Scott love to create panic and a dire situation, where the fans need one more push to make this happen, thus increasing sales magically right at the last second.
Then, just like last time with the Subs, Scott will make a video with a party popper and blowers celebrating what a great job the fans did. Then, a few days later, he will announce that they didn't really sell very well, so now they have to cut some of the cool features... But, hey, we'll all still be so grateful we're getting any type of CG at all right?
Do it now and save yourselves the moolah!!
I mean...Order one dammit, I want a MOTUC Grayskull!!
If anyone wants a MISB Battleground Evil-Lyn, Demo-Man or Vykron/Tank Top/Space Ace, then I'm selling them at the links in this sentence. :)
Well...
After a revelation, a lot of swearing & 2 hours of buggering around with Computer Software  - I was finally able to watch the 1st 3 Episodes of my newly acquired 200X He-Man DVD Boxset :D; Man oh man is it sweet to see the series in such great resolution & sound clarity, the TV Rips I had 'Torrented/Digitally Relocated' were honestly deplorable in comparison.
(The set has also alleviated 7Gbs of HDD space in the process )
See here dude, it'll explain everything. ;)
I was able to undo the region lock on my DVD players (which I no longer use since they have become obsolete) and have been using the computer which is attached to my TV.
I unlocked them by calling their respective company support, they are obliged by law to give you the unlock region code but that was some years ago.
To get around the region lock with 200x on PC, all I had to do was use VLC and that worked without any tinkering or need to change the actual drive firmware lock. Weird how you had so much trouble but I agree, the entertainment industry is living in the dark ages and refuses to adapt, all that they are doing is encourage piracy by their draconian methods.
for some reason Mattycollector is refusing to accept my card for a CG preorder. this is troubling, As it's gonna screw with my subscription next year for sure. Godammit it Mattel.
EDIT- Actually it let me preorder Castle Grayskull as long as i bought something. of course the only thing i wanted was the Wind Raider. 70-something bucks. yikes.
God help mattel if it is. I mean seriously. Promises were made. more than once.
There has been wide spread QC issue with the 'Great Unrest' Weapons Pack that comes with the 'missing' accessories for Horde Prime and Draego-Man and Keldor's swords among others.
Apparently a good amount of people (seems 50/50) are receiving what is being termed 'fused' Keldor swords meaning that they are molded as a single piece of plastic and can't separate. This is not necessarily a factory accident in which the plastic was melted together but a completely different 'one piece' mold that was supposed to be only available as a limited exclusive at Power-Con.
Naturally fans are pissed -Those who bought the Weapons Pack don't get detachable Keldor swords that separate into two that were clearly advertised as such. The others who bought the 'Exclusive' fused sword at Power-Con are now finding that it wasn't that exclusive after all.
Problem is that this mess up is rampant - If you return your set to Matty, there is a 50/50 chance (with the related Matty return headaches) you will get another set with fused swords again as the replacement.
From the Org:
http://www.he-man.org/forums/boards/...-Weapons-Packs!
My first thought was, how do you get QC issues on a weapons pack...
And now I see how. Nice one matty:rolleyes:
I hope that's the case as given that people were complaining about receiving fused swords in that thread at this early stage seemed a little high as orders are just being received. There was even one guy who ordered two packs and both had the fused swords.
Yeah not indicative of 50/50 ratio but having a fair amount of people this early on receiving fused swords, it hints at a possible widespread issue. I hope that is not the case but given how Matty works, it wouldn't surprise me.
Geez, I hope my Weapons pack from Ebay doesn't have this problem.
I guess You'll all know about it...
As time passes and more people begin to receive their packs we will get a clearer idea on what is the ratio for fused swords. It's not encouraging that this early on there were multiple reports but hopefully it will be as Sky Shadow mentioned and only a small number are affected.
Soo i turns out I ordered two Cy-chops by mistake...would anyone be interested in it?
