I've got the recent JP reissue of OP, which has beautiful metallic silver and red paint, but the head with faceplate down (and beast mask). I think the chest is a bit different to the older figures as well.. but i'm the opposite, SilverDragon, i'd prefer the faceplate up head of llamatron's figure)!
They're awesome but Meg's head is ever so slightly off - it's a bit too squashed. Still, they look gorgeous in person.
I personally like the new heads (and paint job) much better than the original. That also goes for Primal's Gorilla head which looks more realistic and menacing.Quote:

I bought some Transmutate parts 2nd hand from people who got the reissues but didn't want the parts, I picked up Waspinator (he's the only Hasbro reissue that I thought was okay) and I grabbed Dinobot for the Transmutate part and sold the toy off to kuzzy. :p I got the Takara reissues of Dinobot and Cohrada and they are niiiiiiiiice. It's cool how they come with DVDs too. :D The animé-nerd in me gets off from listening to a lot of the famous voice actors in the Japanese dub (especially those from Weiss Kreuz like the bishilicious Koyasu Takehito!) :D

When it comes to the BW 10th Anniversary line, I really don't mind them. I know that Takara did a much better job but Hasbro's were still rather good in my oppinion and I prefer their paint jobs more than the originals even if Hasbro did not do them no where near as cartoon accurate as Takara.

Got to say the G1 Hot Rod is in good shape! Still looks like a pretty new figure, if it weren't for the the sticker peeling a little on the leg and the original character card and the 1985 printed on the figure, I would have thought it was a reissue! Cyb Undermine to complete my list of Cybertron cartoon-only characters.

I've heard this 'lost mould' rumours shite before. They said that they'd lost the mould for original Rattrap, thats why they released the TM version.
Has anyone checked with the BotCon people? It seems that whatever glorious BW figures get spat on for that convention the mould then dissapears. And now the same with Ravage.
(Although the Ravage one dissappearing might not be so bad, for those of us who have one, cos now they're worth more :P)
