Oh god please do, it annoys me that they changed it to be in line with japan :(
I hope to see the classic mode, well, like Megadrive Sonic. It's hard to see from the video as he doesn't really stop, but judging from the way that Sonic traverses those swinging bridges, it looks more like the physics from the original game.
The modern Sonic is clearly relpicating the gameplay style from Sonic Colours, which in my opinion is probably the best modern Sonic game. Apprently they cover the same levesl, so Classic in Green HIll is the same level as Modern in Green Hill, just a change of perspeective.
Looking over past Sonic games, from say, Sonic and the secret rings, you can see a definite evolution as they have learned to add good bits and drop the bad bits of various games. Hopefully they have learnt a bit from Episode 4's rubbishy feel, which I know was a complaint from many people.
The way classic sonic stopped on a dime, crouched and did a super spin attack in under a second doesn't fill me with hope for proper physics. Won't know for sure until I play it.
Oh yeh, I remember seeing that now as well. Hhhrmmm. Hopefully it was a special move..? *straw clutching*
Apparently a demo has been given a G classification, so we should be able to try before forking out the dosh.
Just had another look. I notice at the start, Sonic is running and goes straight into a spin dash. Perhaps that is what happend at the section you are thinking of. If its the one I think it it, its where he jumps from a loop into a spin dash.... Hmm, and another look. At about a minute, sfter jumping pff the spings, he is going fairly slowly and then into a spin dash...
Oooo, Hurry up demo...
Anyone played DS games from the US on an Australian DSlite and had any issues? There's some cheap games in the stores here I'd like to buy. Since there's no Pal/NTSC issue they should be pretty interchangeable? Or should I wait until I get to the UK since I'm very certain UK games work in Aus DSlites with no problem.
Would an America PS3 title work on a Aus/PAL PS3? The PS3 games aren't that cheap though here but was wondering also.
I'd anyone knows a good compatibility guide that they can link me to it would be appreciated!
I haven't had any problems with DS games, t least I don't think so. Some of the games I have have US/UK/AUS near the code on the card, so I imagine that would mean where it has come from. Haven't had issues with those.
As for PS3, I am not experienced, though a mate of mine bought an American version of the new MK game, and he can play it on his machine.
I think I read somewhere that some versions of the DS are region coded, like the Xl for example. Not sure on the various iterations of the lite though.
PS3 can use any game from any region. The only difference is that DL content from the AUS store won't work with a US/Japan game. But it's easy enough to set up accounts in the other regions for that very sake. Ususlly the US store is a lot cheaper than the AUS as well. Well it would be if it was woking...:D
