I wasn't a fan of it, but it was too cheap to pass it up and I gotten it. I actually prefer this piece than my Ozma renewal in some ways as it doesn't fall apart that easily.

Yeah I hear they're a "nightmare" to transform without something popping out or scratched. Hope you're careful with the transformations. Do you also have the super/armoured parts it?

Shame- I really like the colour and design of the 171... just could do without the exploding shoulders :D

Really? I've never found the 171 to any trickier to transform than anything else in the Bandai Macross Frontier line. The only tricky bit for me is the same with all of the Frontier Valks, getting the head out and aligning the various torso sections. I find the VF 25 Ozama custom the trickiest due to it's unusual head shape.

What was the problem with the 171? Something to do with the hip is what I vaguely remember. Neither of mine have problems yet...

I will report later, my bro may have difficulty with it but I may not.
Its that black triangle piece where you push it into the chest as Lancalot reported the damage area.

^Isn't that only on the Cannon Fodder ones though? I thought the Alto was pretty good :confused:

The joints for many of them were a bit stiff and meant I had to be careful to avoid scratching plastic on plastic during transformation. Coupled with the exploding parts it made transforming a bit more trickier/stressful than the usual Bandai valk.
