Masterforce or Hasbro boxed?

For MP Megatron and MP Prime (04) is $390 a good price? From looking on eBay it seems good but that is not always a great guide. Thoughts?
Besides ebay, what other resources are there to compare pricing?
Now that there's a "Henkei" Ultra Magnus coming, is the value of a Hasbro "Classics" Ultra Magnus dropping. I finally found my Magnus' missing gun but have a feeling I missed the chance to sell high!
There is the colour difference, I think the Henkei one has too much white;)
That's a difficult question, it's natural to see a price drop given increased supply in the form of a suitable supplement, but I'm inclined to believe that Classics UM will command the highest price. I've seen Classics UM sell for $150 prior to the announcement, bought it myself for $80, and currently eBay completed listings still have it for $110 max. The price hierarchy starts with Complete Classics UM, Henkei UM, then Incomplete Classics UM. Seems like completionists are still willing to pay premium price for the perfect fit (for FP City Commander).
As Hasbro HK set Henkei UM with a high RRP (think it was $80?), it's not exactly the dirt cheap alternative. If I was a buyer I'd think, why not pay the extra $20-30 for the perfect fit. Completed FP City Commander is not a highly playable or poseable toy, so the 'effect' of completion is where the money is ;)
Has Henkei UM been released yet? It seems like there's a Chinese seller selling them for $60 a pop, shipped without box.
That is a difficult question,
that is totally correct,
and I echo what SuspectimusPrime said, adding that it'll probably come down for a while when the Takara one is actually released. but might go back up a bit when the Takara one sells out.
and follow up with "Why would you want to sell that!?"
Many reasons: Because it's a straight repaint of a figure I already have. Because I sold the City Commander armour years ago. Because I have too many Transformers and not enough happiness, and money might help me get happiness more than holding on to a Transformer toy would. :(
Pictures please when it arrives. Love anything masterforce
fair enough, I never had the prime, till more recently, so now I'm unreasonably attached to both. I really like the mold.
you know what they say though " Money doesn't buy happiness"
the others say "people who say that never had enough money":D
I say give me more money so I can test that theory.
I had/have Classics Optimus Prime, Classics Ultra Magnus, Henkei Optimus Prime, Universe 2.0 Nemesis Prime, and Shattered Glass Optimus Prime. It's a good toy, but I only need one of it (and Henkei Optimus Prime was the winner).
If that's the case, then perhaps set up a Buy It Now auction at the highest price you're willing to let it go for and just float it (maybe list it under US currency to attract more buyers :)). If you're in no hurry for the money, then you can afford to wait around for the highest paying customer - eBay will only charge you once its sold, so there is no loss for the downtime.
Money certainly does not buy unhappiness :) Having some around for a rainy day may get you out of a tight situation/period in life.
What would be reasonable price for a MIB Botcon 1997 Fractyl and Packrat set with comic?
I thought they were around $400, but this listing on ebay ended at $700. They don't pop up too often.
oops, edit while I'm at it:
Loose Hasbro MP starscream, $80?
Can't believe someone actually caved and forked out $700 for this set! Guess this buy represents a significant raising of the bar for this set...
I think Sky Shadow recently mentioned obtaining one a few years ago for $80 (sorry, cannot find that post). About 1-1.5 years ago I saw the same set go for about $200.
A loose, complete, good condition G1 blitzwing. Also, a G1 Shockwave! (I wanna see how much you think. I found a legit one for 200 on an online tf store (not telling) which I might buy! (complete good condition)
yeah i think my boxed shockwave was about $200 back in 2007, hardest thing now is to not get a damn KO
Agreed, do your research on Shockwave before buying, I think if it's legit and in Excellent - Minty with box, then anything under $250 is what you should pay. Blitzy complete can go for around $30 - $50.
I bought MIB Shockwave about four years ago for $300 and was very happy with that, but he has definitely come down since then due to proliferation of KO's
Galaxy Force Leader Class Master Megatron, loose w/ box complete but missing missiles ?
Thanks. I'm actually looking at selling one -- but I can't find the missiles (I have everything else for it though). And it is the Japanese version... don't know if having the JP box, tech spec card etc. should make any difference. So I'm guessing $70 might be a reasonable price to ask for.
Is $55 a good price to pay for Encore 10? (shipping included)
i'd pay that for it bidoof :) infact where ever is selling it for that do they have more? :P
I'm not sure. But they probably do. It's RK, so probably yeah.
How much for something like this.
Are these that rare? That's getting to grand max price. Not too much for your money hehe
Not at all. They are quite often for sale privately as minibot collectors do alot of deals with each other, but not often for auction. Guess we will be seeing a few more after that price!
Universe 25th Anniversary Insecticons MISB+ All 3 Complete (loose)original G1 Insecticons?
In one price please. (combined)
Altogether?!
All 3 insecticons (G1) and MISB 25th anniv. Insecticons?
That little?!
Yeah the 25th anniversary one was released back in 2009 in an openbook style box, just check on ebay and look at completed listings, on average they sell at 50-60 with about 20-40 on postage, overseas from america.
I meant the MISB 25th anniversary ones, AS WELL AS the ORIGINAL G1 Insecticons. (complete)
Like altogether. So for the 6 insecticons.
