Thanks dirge, means I'll be having a tough luck finding it then. oh well not a priority atm.
for victorians, is shcokwave classed the same as megatron and therefore illegal to import?
While only a guess, I'd have to say no, as it's not really a "replica"
I remember someone saying ages ago that the Titanium Autobot Ark was a repaint of a Y-Wing fighter. It's actually not, it's a repainted, tiny version of something from Milton Bradley called an Electronic Starbird.
Does anyone know anything about this or it's value? I've seen one for sale that's rather expensive for what it is but am thinking it might make a nice, larger scale Ark if it was repainted.
New question: what are my chances with customs if I imported a G1 Megatron into the country from overseas, if it were either partially disassembled or simply transformed into robot mode? Are there significantly large pieces on the toy which still resemble the Walther P38 in either mode enough to alert customs to something suspicious?
Eruntalon: We just had the Megatron Club AGM yesterday... gun Transformers are still outrightly illegal in Victoria. You cannot import into that state under any condition. The same applies for the ACT too. For more information about the legality of Megatron in Victoria please see here.
The other aspect of this - if customs Do nab Megatron, you have no avenue through which to get it back, other than to go through the entire process of getting a full Firearms licence. It's also possible that they decide to make an example of you for trying to beat the system... and prosecute.
