Wave 2 PCC 5-packs in KMart Geelong.
Pretty sure that I spotted them (Wave 2 PCC 5-packs) at KMart Stanhope yesterday as well.
Last Friday I also found some new RPMs at BigW Garden City - the new Diecast ones.
They look and feel so much better, making the original plastic ones look like knockoffs. And they are priced at the new lower $4.74, compared to old $8-10 price, making them more competative to Hotwheels/matchbox.
I found 7, but the card backs suggest that there are at least 11 new ones out in the first assortment, which includes 'Metal Heroes', 'Nest' redecos, and 'Stunticon' redecos.
Below are the 7 new diecast ones on the right, compared to 4 similar plastic ones on the left.

Metal Heros series (8)
1 - Bumblebee (above)
2 - Jetfire (above)
3 - Optimus Prime (above)
4 - Soundwave (missed)
5 - Barricade (missed)
6 - Ironhide (missed)
7 - Sideswipe (above)
8 - (unknown)
NEST Global Alliance series (3)
1 - Bumblebee (missed)
2 - Optimus (above)
3 - Ironhide (above)
Stunticon series (3)
1 - Bumblebee (above)
2 - Barricade (not out yet)
3 - Lockdown (not out yet)
(other series will come out later)
I think it is good to have a re-release of the main characters in diecast, otherwise these better RPMs still won't sell because they would only be weird redecos or unknown characters.
The downside is that the diecast ones are now too heavy for the Devastator Trackset to launch (which might have been a factor for doing plastic RPMs in the first place). And Jetfire is too wide to fit as well, even with the wings folded up.
rotf devastator legends size-7 robot combiner set $39 (target toy sale,geelong,victoria/$10 off normal price)each part of devastator is a legends size robot/vehicle
Spotted at a Toyworld today
HFTD Voyager Wave 2: Optimus Prime and Banzaitron
Ooooo Banzaitron. May or may not buy it, but I do like the look of him.
Pretty sure this is new here. So sorry if it isn't

Just saw them at my usual Kmart 24/7.
And also spotted one of the new PCC 5-Pack Combiners:

The Scout 3-pack is old stock from Hasbro... must be clearing out their chinese factories in the move to Vietnam.
The 'Warriors From Three Worlds' 3-pack of Cybertron Scouts was released in America in September 2009 (for US$20) and are straight repacks - no redecos.
The 'Desert Decimation' 4-pack of Legends is new though, and hasn't even been released in America yet.
BTW, those are fairly good prices for us in Australia. Three Scouts here would be $45-55 individually, while 4 Legends here would be $30-40.
Kmarts over the ditch (New Zealand) also received the Cybertron Scout repacks.
I spy Masterpiece Grimlock!
TRU Garden City had several, and more on a higher shelf. No price tag, and I was horrified when he came in at 150 at the counter. "Must be a deluxe model or something, huh?" said the girl laughing.
Still had to take him home though!
Unfortunately it doesn't look like we're going to get the (comparative) bargain of MP Starscream again :(
But $150 is at least the "right" price for the toy (assuming Japanese MP Grimlock avarages $130-140 for the toy alone, with $20-30 shipping), so this ends up being cheaper on average, at least.
Not compared to the Americans - MP Grimlock is US$70 plus tax, which would work out to be AU$85-90. Way less than our AU$150 'ScalpersRUs' price.
Hi guys,
Was excited to spot this guy amongst the 500 recon ravages at my local TRU! :)
There's at least 4 in Miranda Shopping Ctr (Sydney Sth) at $150 a piece. They're away from display up on the top shelf, don't miss them! :)
$150 seems a bit of a gouging, and part of me wanted to wait for some special or something, but I don't think he'll hang around like Ultimate 'Bee...
Really odd awkward box shape...
$150 AU is unfortunately about right when you use the Transformers Deluxe Price Index
$70 US / $12 US = approx 6
6 * $25 AU = $150 AU
Man, I'm pretty sure with shipping and the crappy exchange rate at the time, MP Grimlock cost me about $230 AUD.
He's using maths to show the ratio of AU pricing to US pricing.Quote:
Huh?
An easier way of looking at it:
Legends - US$5 / AU$7 = Our price is 1.4 times US pre-tax price.
Scout - US$8 / AU$16-18 = Our price is 2-2.25 times US pre-tax price.
Deluxe - US$13 / AU$25-30 = Our price is 1.92-2.23 times US pre-tax price.
Voyager - US$23 / AU$47-50 = Our price is 2.04-2.17 times US pre-tax price.
Leader - US$45 / AU$87-100 = Our price is 1.93-2.22 times US pre-tax price.
Devastator - US$100 / AU$ 100-170 = Our price is 1-1.7 times US pre-tax price.
Ultimate Bbee - US$90 / AU$120 = Our price is 1.33 times US pre-tax price.
MP Grimlock - US$70 / AU$150 = Our price is 2.14 times US pre-tax price.
Roughly speaking, our prices are about 2 times US pre-tax prices, which would equate to an exchange rate of about US50cents.
(tax rate is usally about 5-8%)
As you can see just from the US Prices on the larger items, MP Grimlock costs less in America than Devastator and Ultimate BBee, and yet here it is more expensive.
(we got a damn good deal on Devastator, when you work out how much it should have been here)
And to bring us back on topic.....
went to TRU to spy Grimmy for myself, only to be greeted by Battle Ops BB....
$119
Looking at the BotCon Hasbro display, MP Grimlock and Battle Ops Bumblebee were both US$60 (plus tax). (Not sure where I got the US$70 price for Grimlock from), but both these figures have the same US retail price, yet TRU here are charging an extra $30 on the one that is exclusive to them (Grimlock).
Grimlock was initially supposed to be US$60 according to the Botcon sign. When he first went up on TRU.com that was his price before I think he got pulled down and then put back up for US$70, which is apparently what he costs in stores as well now.
Toys r us Geelong MP grimlock $150.00 only 5.
hope this helps someone.
Does Australia have high import taxes? I mean, Brazil's prices for foreign goods are VERY, VERY HIGH, far higher than anything we have to pay, and from what I understand, this is due to high import taxes and other taxes.
Found second wave SWTFs (Clone/Attack Tank is the only new mould in that wave) at Kmart (Sunnybank, Browns Plains, Hyperdome) $30, and Speedstars Minivehicles (were RPMs) first wave (with Soundwave, red Ironhide, Optimus, Jetfire, Patrol Barricade, Bumblebee, NEST Bumblebee) $5 each.
Battle Ops Bumblebee at Hyperdome Toyworld $120.
Toyworld Docklands had wave 2 of the PCC 2 Packs and HfD Legends
about $20 and $7 respectively
New waves of the HFTD Deluxes out at Big W - Forest Hill. $24.66 each. No more Elita-1 as I have taken the last two.

Took a pic of these as I wasn't sure if it's the new wave of PCC scouts, but came back and realised it wasn't. So sorry! :o

Also had the new set of 2-pack RPM vehicles and TF2 Legends Ravage, Bumblebee, Rampage etc.
The Speed Stars Stealth Force Optimus has been sighted at a Toyworld in Perth.
