I am an Amazon Prime member, but shipping from the US site is not free with Prime. Are we talking about buying from the US site or from the AU site?
yeah it gets confusing, especially when people complain about imported stock on the AU website when brought up in the AU thread. Like it belongs there but it also helps to blur the lines of the two threads even more imo
sorry for the confusion, mine was AU site US stock
This topic could probably be closed down while amazon US is blocking us from buying their stock through their site.
Is it Transformers stock sold by Amazon US, or private sellers on Amazon?
When I go to the Amazon America site and logged in with my Australian address to look at the Transformers toys, no Amazon US stock listings show up... only private sellers. But when I change my address to my shipping forwarder in Oregan, all of the Amazon US stock items can now be purchased.
Before the virus hit, I had access to most of the toys that was sold by Amazon America (sometimes the newly listed items weren't available at first), but I just had to pay postage to Australia.... which I would compare to the "free shipping" cost on Amazon Australia if they had an import listing on there of the same item.
Now I can't do that anymore, and can only buy items that they list on Amazon Australia as import stock... which is very limited.
My Amazon US order of three Quintesson Judges just shipped. I was charged three days ago.
Splendid! :)
Does anyone here have Amazon US items shipped to a Parcel Locker?
I've been able to have them delivered with no problem thanks to DHL but recently whenever I try, it just says "We'll notify you via e-mail when we have an estimated delivery date for this item." even if it's in stock. But if I change to my home address, it gives me a proper delivery date and everything.
Any idea what's going on?
I got charged by Amazon US for at least two Earthrise Deluxes. Probably Airwave and an Alicon.
Following from the Amazon AU thread,
Amazon.com is now generally open to shipping to AU again.
Of particular interest are the EarthRise Paradron Medics and Autobot Alliance packs.
Here's hoping it isn't a glitch and they cancel anything that gets ordered... especially the pre-order items. :(
They stopped us from ordering direct from the US amazon site when the pandemic was shutting down things over there (in April) and they had announced limiting their services to more priority items... and I figured that shipping toys to other countries was not a priority. Maybe their workloads or work environment has allowed for direct sales again.
Would like the seekers pack to turn up!
I have the Paradron Medics and Autobot Alliance packs on pre-order, having them sent to a Shipito address in America. I am scared to cancel them and reorder them with my Australian address in case they do get cancelledd.
:(
Well... since Amazon America is letting us buy direct from them again, here are the links to a couple of exclusives...
Earthrise Prowl/Ironhide - US$40 - November ****
Galactic Odyssey Paradron pack (Ratchet/Lifeline) - US$40 - December
(hopefully they get more stock in of the conehead 2-pack)
**** NOTE - if you order either of the Earthrise 2-packs, change the packaging option at checkout to "ship in Amazon packaging", as they will just send the actual toy box with an address label stuck to it.
It might come down to the person packing the shipment (or the people receiving the stock in the first place, and some remove them from the outer boxes and some dont), so to cover all possibilities, since they offer an outer shipping carton for free as an option, it's best to take it... even if the 2-pack is sent in it's outer carton, it will just be an extra level of protection.
But yes... seeing photos on TFW of the Coneheads arriving at people's houses with just a shipping label on the box, reminded me of the Platinum Edition Reissue Predaking from several years ago having the same issue.
Took a chance and ordered the paradron 2 pk
So if it dose get fullfilled do they charge the australian price quoted or dose it change due to currency rates?
My order summary says usd but the prices of the item and shipping are in aud
I picked up an Alicon bought from Amazon US today. It was just thrown in a padded envelope. I'm not a box collector, so I don't care, but others will.
Yep, same with mine.

Items appear to be shipping separately right now, yeah. I was totally expecting one shipment to gradually break apart based on warehouses' stock.
Is it possible that they don't have the data for which warehouses stock will arrive at...?
Sinnertwin is pretty much correct (except the "goodwill" bit, at least to their employees :p ). Items are shipped as soon as they are in-stock, unless they have a specific embargo date (which is why a lot of pre-orders ship out a few days before their listed date).
Since they only charge money when items are in-stock, and have already quoted a "total" shipping amount, you shouldn't pay anything more than what is quoted at time of the pre-order... which can work in your favour if items have the same release date listed but are released separately - you shouldn't get charged anything extra with shipping... just like when you purchase several items that are in-stock, and they get sent separately (if at different warehouses).
It can also work against you, but not often (and their shipping isn't too bad so the loss wouldn't be too much) - if items are supposed to have separate release dates, and they end up being released at the same time, then they probably just make a little extra on the shipping.
Check your emails too folks, just got a heads up for Amazon Prime days 13th & 14th October.
Thanks guys. But here’s the thing though, when I went into ordering, and I only specifically chose the ones that had the same release date ( you’ll notice a couple that are listed as release on 1/3/2022 As opposed to 1/2), and I still got hit with separate lots of shipping charges. That’s why I didn’t pull the trigger last night. Not sure if that’s something that’s changed for any pre-orders in general, or just these items.
That's the thing I was referring to, that items expected on the same day are being charged for separate shipping.
Usually, I would expect one shipment for preorders until being notified of a split shipment. But that leans into what Griffin is saying that when you are charged for fewer shipments it's clearly a benefit.
Which is why I'm suggesting perhaps the logistics aren't quite ironed out.
