Japan had two 'BotCons' around 1998, but as liegeprime mentioned, they have a number of toy related conventions that have Takara and Transformers as a part of them. I don't think they have had a purely Transformers themed convention since their BotCons.Quote:

There are no Takara presentations or official Takara guests at BotCon, either because they are not relevant to the American release of Transformers, or the language barrier. A number of high level Transformers designers from Takara are there each year, but mostly because it is 'the annual Transformers convention' and it would interest them to attend the one convention themed on their efforts.

BotCon 2004 had it, but it was not authorised or produced by Hasbro, like every other BotCon/Official Con toy. As such, it is not considered a legit Transformers product, but a custom job, kinda like the WST Dinobots.Quote:

Can anyone tell me whether the missiles from an original G1 Ultra Magnus will fit in the launchers of the Hasbro commemorative reissue version, which I believe comes with the silly oversized missiles?
Also, do the two robot heads on the reissue have painted faces? (ie blue mouth plate on the white prime and silver face for the larger robot?

the reissue has a silver face, blue face plate. G1 missles will fit since the reissue has no retooling of the launchers. I want short missles :(
