On the way home from squash this morning, I almost caved in and bought a Racers set that had been marked down to $25. It was a damaged two car set with a launcher thing. I went back to it after leaving the store but then put it back. Was so... tempted! Space Police... where are you??? :o :rolleyes: :D

Whoa! Those Creator sets are amazing. They will be some must haves this year along with the Space Police.
Good point too, Kyle on the uniforms/helmets of the Space Police. They could be better. But sci-fi is one of my main genres so I'm happy to look past that. :)

Set 8293 - Power Functions Motor Set is finally available locally. I saw it at TRU today. Didn't check the price though. I wanted to get it but I also need the Infrared Remote to make my Mars Mission Crystal Reaper mechanized remotely. But the remote isn't available. Might check out the Lego Center in Moonee Ponds.

Anyway, highly recommended for the technic excavator. It drives the two piston actions very very well. And it's very easy to add the lights to the arm too.

It's not really Lego shop. It's a Lego Education Center. Made more for "educational" purposes but they do have stuff for sale there. It's not a very big place, so don't expect a huge range but they do have some pretty cool exclusives every now and then.
The centre is at 37 Hall Street Moonee Ponds.
Sheesh the SW license tax is in full effect with that Dooku set. I'm glad I'm not into SW at all. Although I do love all the SW Mini sets.

There's a LEGO Educational Centre in Brisbane near South Bank I think never been there though but drove past it once or twice, pretty small. :(

Spotted the new Creator bike and plane set at $35 K-Mart. Whoa, pricey. these used to be $30 sets. The bike looks great and one of the modes is basically Classics Mirage. :D Will buy at the next sale.
They also had the new Racers sets too, one of which quite caught my eye. Next sale fodder too though.

Thanks for the heads up. I was excited for the new sets, but was dissapointed with the Creator sets a little. I guess I wanted play value (ala minifigs) right now. So I ended up leaving them on the shelves until a sale. Altho I caved in (AGAIN) and got the big Power Miners Crystal Crawler (8961) and the Rally Racers 2 pack.
