$39 from Kmart Clearance as mentioned in Sightings. :D

Finally nabbed some individual minifigs, got the Zombie, Robin Hood, Robot, Caveman and scuba diver.
These figures have some great little accessories, the Zombie's chicken drumstick is fantastic.

That's actually an old piece. Don't know how old but it pops up every now and then usually in the historical themes.

Picked the book up from Target at $39 and mix bricks from Big W at $28:

The book is real bad influence - making me want so many other sets!

I found series two minifigs today at a local store.
Scored the Explorer and the Mime and the girlfriend got the Vampire and Witch. Unsurprisingly the boxes were picked clean of Greek Warriors...
Shouldn't be too long before this series is hitting everywhere.

I'm hoping for 1 more round of price reduction. I'm finding it hard to justify though since what i'm really after is the claw alien.

For some reason 7949 really appeals to me (well, it's the figures). I didn't really fancy dropping $18 for 3 figures. But tonight while looking for the blind-packed minifigures, I found one which had been unceremoniously ripped open. I asked about it, and they gave it to me for 1/2 price. Turns out - once I got it home and had a good look - it was complete:

Also found the Minifigures at another Target:

I didn't manage some of the ones I wanted (Pop Star, Disco guy & Lifesaver), but I managed four of those I wanted (Pharaoh, Surfer, Centurion & Skier)

Yeah loving the new Kingdom (Castle) series sets! Just put two of them on layby from the Target sale last week.
Here are my recent acquis:
http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...es/Lego-20.jpg
Blue and Pink Mix Bricks boxes and the 450 piece assorted bricks (x2) to build more custom Lego creations. :D

Decided to grab this on the last day of the Target sale!

Got Slave 1 for A$107 at Myer last night.
-
I haven't bought Lego since I picked up the Res-Q helicopter and hovercraft in '98, but the last few days I've had this massive urge to play with the stuff, and after having rebuilt all my Ice Planet sets, decided I'd spend a few bucks on something new.

Naturally Haggis decided she wanted to help out.

Also picked up the Hogwarts board game for a friend's birthday and rainchecked Creationary. Very much looking forward to playing both.

Myer was totally sold out of this set! Went to Big W to try my luck at price-matching with the catalogue and the nice young boy didn't even bother to call them up! He was happily chatting away to me about how he was gonna get two weeks off! :D

Got these in AU while on holiday in Sydney.
http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a3...2010Haul11.jpg
http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a3...2010Haul10.jpg
Tried to get more, but the bad exchange rate, lack of sales (missed Myer's) and lack of luggage space prevented me.

Got to Target yesterday at 5pm with 30 minutes to spare. Managed to get 15 out of 16 of the minifigs. Couldn't find the last one in time. Will have to go back tomorrow.

i am not sure what the odds are on him but i went through 6 freshish boxes (three brand new) and managed to get 1 out of each box... the sixth box had been ransacked...
i dont imagine his odds would be 1:60

These arrived today (picked them up in Singapore)
Question - how does the Vampires cape work?
http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a3...2010Haul20.jpg
-
that is a tricky piece.
you need to fold the top half back over the bottom ill take a pic and see if that helps you

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1.../P92208092.jpg
first you need to put the bottom half on, like you would the wrestler or spartan,
then secondly you need to fold the top half back over onto itself and over the head peg..
it is a bit of a fiddle
if you want more pics let me know
-
Thanks man, finally got it.

I picked up a whole bunch of S2 today. I am very impressed! While there are more 'passable' minifigs in S2 the good ones are well and truly above the bar set by S1. Even though I scoff at the people who are aiming to collect 300 of them, the spartan has to be one of the most awesome minifigs ever created.
-
Spent a decent while searching through the boxes at target for the series 2 minifigs.
Got me a whole set without a hiccup.
Lint: Gotta agree with you about the spartan.
-
Yes guys! Loving the Spartan too!
Got this from Myer last friday:
http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...es/Lego-23.jpg
And spend about half an hour with mum digging and feeling for the only 3 mini figures I want and the effort paid off. Now I have the barcode kept so I know which is it if I want to go back and get more. The Spartan is awesome, but I really like the Pharoah too. It was thanks to mum who felt the snake head in the pack. ;)

I love the pharaoh too, he has enabled me to create a Jafar minifig!

Btw if anyone can find a better head to make a jafarface with I'd be glad to hear it.

Loving the S2 minifigs although there are some pretty basic ones. The bodybuilder is probably the dud of the bunch and the Spartan, Mexican and surfer are clear winners. I still need the Pop Star and my set will be complete.

Got this from Big W yesterday!
http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...es/Lego-25.jpg
I think that's it for the Lego board games range for me. Going to Target tonight to scout for more Mini Figs since I've got the bar code printed out now. :p
