I just got my notice
5000 Yen for EMS shipping. So saving 4000 Yen on the toy cost helps with that ouch amount for postage

5000Yen shipping? thats insane O_O i checked it against their shipping chart and the price indicates it is 2.7kg.

shipped via EMS for amiami is 15960YEN total which is $194.636AUD.

what was RK's original Preorder price anyway? before they raised it to $164.50USD.

All I know is that I just spent $199.69 at AmiAmi, so I hope everything goes smoothly. :D

yeah i checked my email too, and i am undecided about paying for $60 shipping for this. originally placed the order not knowing it was diecast. was hoping to keep it down to around $150 but the exchange rate is terrible at the moment.

EMS is really fast, 3-5 i think, so being a thursday here, they should ship it by friday and you should get it on monday. (if there's no interference from customs - thinking it might be a bomb or something :P)

I can certainly understand one's apprehension with the $60 postage cost, but for the size and weight - it is pretty much equal to what I had to pay to get Unicron over here from the States a couple of years ago. :o
For me though, it's not really an option because it was either this reissue at $200 or the previous one at $400+ and that doesn't even include postage. :(

I thought paying that little more for EMS was worth it too, so you reckon about a week? :eek:
That's pretty good as it's my first time purchasing directly from Japan but yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Customs decides to play the "job? what job?" game. :rolleyes::p

I preordered mine back on July 22nd and shipping was calculated at US$ 32.98 however given the exchange rate back then, I'm not saving much more than if I were to order it now.

Oh well, I'm not fussed as the 'King' will be my last big purchase for a very looooong time. I'm goin' out with a bang :D
