This is the sound of Buckethead without the crazy pills.
Listen to Frankenseuss Laboratories to hear him on the crazy pills.:p

Lately I've been listening to the Batman v Superman score. Hans Zimmer teamed up with Junkie XL of MM:Fury Road fame is an excellent combo.
Armoured Angel - Myth Of Creation from compilation cd Hymns Of Hate.
So glad to find this cd in store. Was not far off attempting to purchasing online. I have all the songs via digital means because most of it was early teleases that is nigh impossible to find. The demo stuff I had digitally was really rough because it was from a cassette. This compilation has it all remastered and it sounds glorious
I bought Trivium's Shogun album. This band's vibe is kind of like Parkway Drive's Ire but more metallic and less punkish.:)
God impact records lol. I used to love that store. They had a whole bunch of G1 figures on display at the back. Was fascinating for someone who just got back into collecting. Also bought a plethora of cds from that store as well as band shirts. Maybe Lucy worked there when I used to visit and never even knew it haha
Mates and I used to get hammered at the yarralumla brickworks where armoured angel did one of their music videos. Metal for the brain at the uni bar were good times too.
East Lover - Phil Collins & Phil Bailey
Ah the video for Enigmatize, a great song. I never got to go to MFTB when they were running it, I did get to the final one in 2006 though. Was a big weekend of music for me. Friday night I saw Nevermore in Sydney, we drove back to my parents after, and set out early for MFTB Saturday.
Scot Project - W5
reminds me of why I got into this music ~15years ago
Feel - Robbie Williams.
Due to the power of Rogue One I've been listening to the Return of the Jedi score. It's the best score of the trilogy.
Recently got the Rogue One score and I'm loving it!:)
2cellos
Skid Row - I Remember You
I have to say Sebastian was one good looking dude.
Beat It
Eddie's solo @ 2:49 slays me every time.
I've been transforming Sky Shadow and Six Shot to the sounds of Black Sabbath (the Ozzy years) and Guardians of the Galaxy deluxe edition.
Yesterday I saw Hans Zimmer live at Rod Laver Arena. He performed music from Sherlock Holmes, Crimson Tide, Interstellar, The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, Gladiator, Batman vs. Superman, The Dark Knight trilogy and others.
Was cranking some Alice Cooper earlier and in a moment of euphoria posited to Tetsuwan Convoy, "What is the greatest intro of all time?", with a link to Alice's Bed of Nails ready to go.
I mean, i love that intro, the spooky start is a great buildup followed by an epic Alice "yeaaaaah" scream for almost a solid 10 seconds! Greatest ever, probably not. Shit, Alice himself probably has better ones, but dammit it was good enough that I had to send it to someone to share that moment, and Tets was right there waiting unbeknownst!
Then the asshole responded with just "Money for Nothing" and i was all like  of ****ing course. My parents had the Brothers in Arms album when i was growing up and though i love the whole thing, I used to listen to just the intro of Money for Nothing over and over. Then tonight, an hour and a half later, i was still listening to it again. The real one, the long one.
Now if you're talking buildup, there is simply nothing that comes close to this. A minute or so of buildup and then the epic hits. 1:13, your hair stands on ends. 1:26 it's freaking electrified and feels like it's gonna jump out of your body as chills come all over. Then, dat Guitar. 30 times in a row it doesn't matter, the reaction is the same every damn time!
I conceded ol' Tets was right and remarked just the intro to this song is better than 99% of songs. I mean, there's good intros, there's outstanding (poor old Alice!) intros and then, there's Money for Nothing, way up in the stratosphere air guitar-ing far, far beyond anything else.
Some other asshole gonna prove me wrong?! :D
Breaking Benjamin and Foo Fighters - great listening at 5am when it is the only music that will settle my teething son :p
Can't argue with Money For Nothing. But a close personal second for me would be Parabol by Tool. It's a 3 minute intro to the next song, Parabola.
I only discovered Breaking Benjamin last year. They're pretty damn cool. Can't believe I went all those years never having heard of them.
Carry on My Wayward Son, We Will Rock You, You Give Love A Bad Name, Free Bird, Hotel California, All Along The Watchtower, You Could Be Mine (the drums alone make me want to barrel roll through brick walls)... All great intro's and plenty more that I've missed.
That's probably not my favourite Tool intro, i'd go for Eulogy or Sober.
You Could Be Mine would be one of my favs from Gun's as well! Can't look past Sweet Child & November Rain, Coma, Paradise City, Don't Damn Me though! Bon Jovi side, i'd be thinking Raise Your Hand (not complete without a dancing John Candy dressed as a Mog)
I just think Money for Nothing kind of transcends even the prerequisite of liking music, period. Someone who hates all music could hear that intro and get the same chills as a lover of that style I think!
I have lots of personal favs that i'm under no illusion appeal to anyone but those already with an aligned taste. Some with more concepty uniqueness perhaps. Nine Inch Nails Heresy, March of the Pigs, Closer (3 in a row!), Marilyn Manson's Antichrist Superstar, The Prodigy Poison, Firestarter, Metallica's For Whom The Bell Tolls, Enter Sandman, Four Horsemen, Seek and Destroy, Creeping Death (I mean, pretty much all of Metallica old songs have awesome intros!). Robert Palmer Some Like it Hot, Meatloaf's I'd do anything for love, those probably have more general appeal.
Alestorm's latest track from their next album. Heavy language in the song so beware if you don't like that kinda thing. But a hilarious song hahaha

Got a bit of a craving for some mellow making T-rex and a wee bit of not so mellow Billy Idol!:D
Still can't stop listening to Avenged Sevenfold's The Stage, so many layers to peel back. Brooks Wackerman does a great job on the skins and i hope he sticks around.
Lately I've been listening to the following albums:
Ultramega OK - Soundgarden
Louder Than Love - Soundgarden
Badmotorfinger - Soundgarden
Superunknown - Soundgarden

RIP CHRIS CORNELL
What Robert Plant is to the 70's and Rob Halford is to the 80's.
Chris Cornell is to the 90's.
A little known Bob Dylan cover
"You're Father Would Be Proud" from the Rogue One Soundtrack.
Currently Abbath's self titled opus. Count The Dead has a very catchy riff to it. Quite like it. Not as good as Immortal, or I, but great gym music heh.
Anyone dig Alestorm? I just bought their latest. Came with a bonus cd of the album, but for dogs. https://youtu.be/AG34aOltLVs This track is great, so is the normal version
Something quite while I watch the rain & think.
Just heard a snippet of what Silvertomb is working on. Guitarist and drummer from Type O Negative new band. Sounds good. I do miss Type O Negative :(
Have been listening to the following albums:
1. Self titled - Dream Theater
2. Emperor of Sand - Mastodon
3. Louder than Love - Soundgarden
4. The Last Stand - Sabaton
5.Hurricanes and Halos - Avatarium
6.Prometheus (the discipline of fire & demise) - Emperor
The radio up here in the mountains is absolute shite! You can only get one FM station (and intermittently at best) which plays really old crappy music and one AM station which is nothing but a senile Jon Laws spouting hateful nonsensical crap :(
Had to drive to Mudgee which is 45 minutes away so when there dropped into a Sanity store. Apparently those stores don't stock much music anymore - just DVDs  So this was the best I could find:

Essential Brittney and Ultimate Sinatra. Now Frank may be the king, but the lyrics I heard from Brittney today:
If I love your body now,
Would you hold it against me?
Because you feel like paridise
And I need a vacation
Sniff - you are a f*cking poet Britt!
